    If the following team....

were put on the floor the last week or so the Cs would lose every single game on the schedule... Tyreke Evans, Monta Ellis, Steph Curry, Javale McGee, Al Horford..... those are the players that will have ensured a 1 and 7 road trip and ended the self-delusion.....  But they beat GS by 2 without Ellis and Curry, they lost by 25 to Sac without Evans, they would have beaten Denver by a lot more with McGee, and they would have been embarrassed off the court with Horford instead of Collins... they would be limping into Mil to face the hottest team in the league now with Monta Ellis and lose and then follow it up with their second disastrous visit to Philly in the last two weeks.....  1 and 7 may have sent a signal to some intelligent people but the people that delude themselves when and if at all possible, either as a result of their double digit IQ or their incessant need to be completely unobjective, might still not think the Cs are contenders..... Miami is vastly superior to the Miami team of last year and the Cs were already out of it when Rondo pulled Wade down from behind after fouling him twice....  This year the Bulls will coast to either the 1 or 2 seed while resting Rose as often as possible..... Rondo has had game after game after game to show up and step up and show that he is a leader and that it is "his team" and he has chosed to be vacant, absent, non-chalant, non-caring, immature, and basically a an unwarranted-diva......  I recently heard someone say on sports radio it is ok if the player is a diva if he is a superstar but it comes off as whining when he is something less than a superstar... Rondo is something less than a superstar, and he generally proves it......  so If somehow the Cs can call ahead and have Ellis and Ilyasova take the night off and then call ahead to Philly and have Iggy take the night off they will have completed a 500 trip that should have been 1 and 7 and exited them from the playoffs... but the delusional beat goes on...... and in the deepest draft in a while, they will ensure that Danny's complete lack of prowess at recognizing talent will be further hampered by unwarranted draft status....  punctuated by a first round 5 game dismissal.

Nobody said we were a house of fire what are you talking about it.

We have lost two key players to heart surgery--unprecedented in the sports history.

The useless JON went down and out.

The team has absorbed a ton of injuries and the players we would have faced would have made little difference winning or losing. It is how the league is with an shorter more accelerated season.  Your point is we stink and most of us get that.  Enough, time to rebuild come up with some ideas you are a genius aren't you?

Niether heart patient is anywhere near as good as any of the players I mentioned.. they have absored no injuries to key players other than to Rondo where they went on to their only legit winning streak of the season winning 9 of 10......

If my point is we stink, I don't agree, they are decent but not nearly as good as anyone thinks that they would simply be right back in cat-bird seat by adding a couple of stiffs around the edges......  Altanta continues to kick around and lost an all-star center, Milwaukee has a legit shot to pass the Cs and lost one of the best young centers in the league, and so on and so forth... the Cs have lost nobody that matters and are barely treading water who is missing their best player just about every night......  my point is that they are nowhere near as good as anyone on this board would like to think but the board keeps thinking "just get into the playoffs and Rose will be hurt and LeBron will choke and it is a pathway to #18" when nothing could be further from the truth... or troof.....

I was responding to your comments about the road trip and players out on other teams.  Use the same thinking that those games would most likely have  not come out different.

I do agree with your basic thought we are not good enough to challenge anyone good with an addition of two marginal players.  We are not going to beat people unless someone like JJJ is revealed as a new star.  The chances of this as you know are close to nil.

As Concord astutely noted, you need to compare apples to apples. If you're going to magically make all the teams the Celtics faced healthy, you need to make the Celtics healthy too to make it a fair match. Add Jeff Green, Jermaine O'Neal, and Chris Wilcox (who played extremely well before being sidelined) into these games, and the Celtics record on this trip would likely be the same, if not better. O'Neal and Wilcox aren't world class centers, but they definitely would have helped the rebounding differential be more palatable.

in the deepest draft in a while, they will ensure that Danny's complete lack of prowess at recognizing talent will be further hampered by unwarranted draft status

Ainge drafted an All-Star point guard with the 21st pick (Rajon Rondo). Ainge drafted the best perimeter defender in the NBA with the 25th pick (Tony Allen). Ainge drafted a solid bench player with the 24th pick (Delonte West). Ainge acquired the draft rights for an NBA champion center with the 27th pick (Kendrick Perkins). Ainge acquired the draft rights for an above-average 6th man with a second round pick (Glen Davis).

I agree that Ainge's draft record of late has been questionable at best, but early on, he had a lot of hits for where he was picking. Hopefully we get the good Danny Ainge this year, instead of the mediocre one.

Danny will draft lots of players that get dragged kicking and screaming to championshops whether they have any impact or not.... he ll the only championsip dannys group has ever won dragged both their point guard and center to a championship... so suffice it to say that if OKC wins a title little of it if anything will have anything to do with Perkins.... he is not even the best center on his team... I remember going to see Jeff Beck and BB King at what was called at the time, Great Woods......   Jeff Beck blew the crowd out of the stadium and one guy actually asked (axed me) who is Jeff Beck..... of course anyone that knows anything about guitar knows that BB King would love to lap Jeff Beck's b alls..... and come up with an original guitar riff or rhythm for that matter......... so what we have is what we had several years ago where the Cs had no talent though Danny yold us that "the sky is the limit"... he has brought us Giddens, Green, Greene, Perk, West,  and a whole bunch of other players where he has gone out of his way to make sure that he has left at least 2 or 3 players per year on the board.........  this year there were those that somehow believed that JJJ and EM were players....... how many years do you need to watch to determine BIG 10 players that played 4ever and cannot find actual players that the Cs have not added any actual players.......  players are drafted in the top 10... the Cs have no players drafted in the top 10... therefore they have no chance going forward.....  is there a point in time when some of the 79IQers will accept that the realy bad drafting and Danny not being a good assessment of talent... wil yield some sort of smart draft picks......

I disagree that Rondo at 21, West at 24, Allen at 25, Perkins at 27, and Davis in the second round are "realy bad drafting." Those were all great successes, relative to their slots. If those draft years were re-done, Rondo would be a top 5 pick, West would be in the mid-teens, Allen in the low teens, Perkins in the top 10, and Davis in the teens. Give credit where credit is due. You're rarely going to find Hall of Famers in the 20s and the second round. You can find serviceable starters, bench players, and sometimes even All-Stars (Rondo). Ainge also did well with Jefferson at No. 15 and Gomes in the second round.

Unfortunately for Celtics fans, Ainge's picks since those first couple of drafts have been abysmal. We'll see how he does this year.

Many years and you are still the same troll with the same stupid behavior. When are you going to mature. How can you say that the celtics defeated the Warriors because Ellis was not playing,of course he was not playing because he was traded,so from now on each team that defeat the Warriors is going to do it because there is no Ellis?Come on Dudder dont be stupid!!!!!!!Thompson and Nate scored many point points playing for Ellis and Curry and the same can be say about last night victory against Atlanta no Horfort but a great game by Sasha playing for him.Maybe you still think that the Celtics could be playing better with any of this players..Hilton Armstrong,Rafael Araujo,David Harrison,Ike Diogu,Andris Bedrins,Shelden Williams,Patrick O"brient,Mike Sweatney, and many other players that were in the list of your beloved players. The lottery icks that according to would make the Celtics a better team.Dont you think that is time to grow and get rid of that role of troll?

you won by a combined 4 points

you were playing twice as good as you are now

Celts were playing twice as bad

you really are vomiting the ignorance here tonight.... great trolling!

Celts would smoke the Lakers in the finals right now, but LA won't get out of the 1st round Celts prob won't get out of the 2nd rd so its a moot point

Your team has no chance of being in the finals.  You want a piece of this Celtics team tonight the Lakers would not have a chance.
