If the Pacers had Rondo...what happens?

They beat Miami in 6. Rondo is a ball protector. Turnover free players are highly valuable.

    Get the facts.

Rondo led the NBA in turnovers per game...

rondo also led the league in triple doubles w/ five in 38 games, including four in jan and two in his final 2 games. lebron was second on the season w/ 4 in 76 games. trpl dbls are not the be-all / end-all measurement of a great player, but they are a strong indicator. seeing as rondo is a bright lights playoff performer, let's go ahead and pencil him in for at least 3 over a 7 game series w/ miami. pacers could've used some of that. daCeltics is right -- would've been indy in 6. or less.

You said Rondo was  a ball protector... dont change the subject.

Rondo led the NBA in turnovers per game. Not much of a ball protector, is he

Rondo seems to be sitting/standing right at the top of the list. 3.9 TOPG.

I don't see any manipulation at all.

The Pacers will trade Danny Granger for better guards.  Their weakness in the ballhandling, decision making is so obvious.  They won't trade for Rondo, but for a good and cheaper ol school PG.

Pretty sad the Rondo lovers cant accept the facts.  So they change it to ratios or games played...

Next will be how many TO's did Rondo have when the sun was shining in Boston and raining in Alaska. Dam the facts, Rondo doesnt lead the NBA TOPG!!

    They win.

Big 3 with Rondo, George, Hibbert would destroy Miami.

DA dangled R9R for Granger sometime back.

LB at the time wanted to know about character issues.

That seemed to deep 6 the deal.

    Enough said.

Go review Rondos stats from last seasons ECF..not as impressive as you think.  ONe big stat game lifts all the other games.

Bottom line is the more Rondo builds his stats line, the more we lose. ITs a team game, whats best for the team.

Pacers probably beat Heat with Rondo

Pacers have no ball handlers and Rondo eats up the Heat.

    Absolutely!!

AND you can say the reverse. If the Celtics had Hibbert in the MIA series last year we would have beat the heat.

Rondo aside, you swap Ellis and Tony Allen for Hill & Stephenson, you see a really boring Finals with IND v. SAN

Re: If the Pacers had Rondo...what happens?

If we had a healthy Rondo in the playoffs we might have beat the Heat this year.  Certainly the Pacers would not have been there. Rondo is the most feared player in Miami. They stole game two last year and we would have had them beat in five.  Consider the no call on Wade's blow to Rondo's face before the overtime.  The game was ours and Rondo had 44 points. Lebron and Wade looked defenseless against him.

Fierce, the power of the superstar is not the game he plays but the no calls he gets in crunch time.

Re: If the Pacers had Rondo...what happens?

You are all missing the point (literally)... Miami plays hack a Rondo in the closing minutes and with the worst PG free throw percentage in the NBA, he bricks his free throws AND instead of dishing to George, he dribbles for 20 seconds then heaves and misses his last second three pointers as the clock expires, which of course destroys team/player chemistry.

With Rondo, Indiana loses 4-1 instead of 4-3.

In fact, I take Hill over Rondo as the Celtics PG.  Its not about assists.  Its about chemistry, good decision making, leadership and ball movement, not to mention a jump shot to keep the defense honest.
