In response to Karllost's comment:
acie, Im sure youre aware the racism pendulum has swung from it being acceptable behavior for whites to be racists in the pre civil rights era to todays, almost hip anti white racism... You do remember watching all those black stand up comedians zeroing in whitey on their cross hairs and everyone cackling about it.
Its become PC to allow whites to be dragged thru the mud racially while a mortal sin if the colors were reversed.. You are absolutely correct when pointing out rap songs that are clearly anti white, anti female anti(fill in the blank).. its ok unless a white is singing an anti black song..then im sure the roof caves in and the Rev A'sl of the world cling on to another cause to profiteer and garner air time with.. If the Tawana Brawley hoax didnt open your eyes to this piece of ____, youre hopeless..
I also agree with you regarding the politics and manipulation of society
Hopefully people will view Sterlings rant (along with his history) and make their own judgments about the fool and not allow Rev AL or the media or anyone else think for them... I dont think he should be forced to sell the Clippers.. he spoke his thoughts in private, thats not a crime... and nobody has to play for the Clippers or go to their games if they dont want to... nobody has to watch them on TV or buy the Clippers cable package... nobody has to buy Clippers jerseys and memorabilia .. and nobody has to coach for the Clippers if theyre so offended.. let the free market and the first amendment prevail... lets see the outrage manifest in actions, not words
sterling has been a complete and unadulterated buffoon for decades now. given that, it makes no sense that a half black harlot of his, outside of his marriage, would be furnishing this tape to TMZ of sterling talking down black people, when he screws one of them.
either the man is totally insane or this is at least partially cobbled together voice recording. i could see someone like him saying don't bring magic johnson to a clippers game out of rivalry and trying to create heat or friction. but telling your half black skeezer GF not to bring blacks around- makes no sense. that means he doesn't get laid any more because she shouldn't bring herself around according to that statement.......????
you are correct, it's now hip to be anti-white. lots of whites are doing it. black supremists and brown supremists are doing it. go figure- the first "black" (he's half black- i grew up amongst blacks in the beaner and i never saw them give a harder time to the mixed race ones among them- so how this o'bomba passes the smell test so easily for them is a testament to how brainwashed they are) president was supposed to UNITE THE COUNTRY and all racial blah blah was supposed to be over. there were ostensibly zero racial issues in this country pre 2008 other than democarps with their abortion machine sucking black babies out of women building a genocide for dollars machine that just won't quit.
i'm done- the very idea of this thread is just more than i can take. idiocy
comrade AC, where do we disagree exactly? i mentioned sharp the ton west, jessej and others.. there's right wing racism (tea party Palin types) and there are clearly left-wing RACISM incl jay z, most "mainstream" hard rap and so forth. just pouncing on the right wing kind does no good in solving the issue. i am post-racial in my private life for i pick my friends and family i will choose to hang wiith. unfortunately mainstream society is certainly NOT post-racial in execution so i unfortunately have to bring in hard vodka in calling out the jabros incl OBAMA (who i actually like overall). sounds good to the koolaiders but it does no good overall for any prez but esp a black prez to start a foundation or movement out of the white house exclusively focused on helping only the urban black poor. when u do that, others like a sterling have to rally around their own as well. would b much better if obama talked about ALL the poor and had appalachian (often much poorer and with less access to gov $ than the black poor) poor whites out there as well.
lastly as a black who is not african-american and one who didnt grow up trapped in the american apartheid or slavery-based mindset, i have a different take. i empathize with by african-american bros and sisties but that mindset is often a barrier to progress that has to b addressed.. period! i see black folks from india, nigeria, europe and all over the place coming here and in no time surpassing the natives. i dont see white euros or others coming here and surpassing the white natives in most areas.. period! if anything, they are on the same mental level and can partner up like with Google to even higher levels. heck, there is a first generation black guy with kenyan non-slavery mentality roots who happens to b prez. no way no how would he b prez if he had that other mindset or not raised by the lighter pigment thru his formative years.. period!
he would have alienated most of his benefactors way too early in the game and not taken position of opportunities. heck, even running for the harvard law review presidency and doing what he must have had to to actually win would have been considered "not black enough" and subjected to intra-pigment ridicule.
there are many sides to the pigment and race issue, we should simultaneously address them all. sterling is just exhibit A in the low hanging fruit category. many discussions happen privately that would offend the black african-american slavery based majority group if they ever came to light. doesnt mean they should come to light or that they are necessarily false. i have met and known many black folks who talk as sterling did on that fone call, they are just not slavery-based african americans or my african american peeps talking about other pigments (goes both ways)....
i am very concerned though about the total violation of sterling's PRIVACY on this issue. it diminishes my outrage a lot. the man has a black coach who is the highest paid with more power than any other as well who he traded top picks to get (i'm sure the black staff numbers skyrocketed with doc walking thru the doors as well by coincidence). he had a black GM for decades, has many top ranking black employees and has done a ton publically for black folks. heck, he was about to receive a NAACP award for his efforts next week. again, these things are complexed, not just black or white if u will... i support and ignore many public positions i do not privately live by and wouldnt privately b indifferent to. different contexts, different demographics, different realities.
are we to mandate what peeps think in PRIVATE? everyone should b cool privately with homosexuality, atheism, full miscenegation and other left wing koolaid topics or they are automatically a bad guy? who amongst us is exactly the same in private as we are in public? 80% of married couples cheat, yep lets go after adulturers even though they take vows (before a god no less) and so forth? these r private issues. isnt that y billy clinton was rightfully allowed to skate from full impeachment? what public figure has done more wrong to females in PRIVATE than clinton? yet many like myself rightfully support all of his PUBLIC positions. BTW, i heard a similar fone call featuring one roger clinton in the 90s where he referred to blacks with the most vile names and connotations repeatedly. u think billy c and him never talked like that in PRIVATE?
i separate public and private behavior. as a close friend of sterling's, we would likely b done. as a fan, playa or public acquaintance, got no beef cashing them checks or working with him on public issues.. period! he can date whoever he wants or doesnt want. this is supposed to be AMERICA! U-S-A, U-S-A!
frankly, got more beef with the jabronette who recorded the man than with the vile stuff he uttered. to paraphrase the great philosopher bobby the brown,"its his prerogative...he can do what he wanna do..and think (in PRIVATE)!"
