    Very interesting when both guys say they would have been incompatible if they were playing together when they were younger.

    Great read thanks

    I liked the part about their current #'s combined equally one of their old seasons (although 16.5 rebs is a bit much) but just the thought, got me thinking about the supporting case we have around a hypothetical 98-06 Shaq or KG.

    So combined we have ONE

    With an entering his prime all-star PG, two former all-star wings giving you 35 a night, Baby a better player than when he was a 15-7 3rd option playoff hero 2 years ago and hopefully soon two more beheamoth big men who would combine to give you 14p 12r 3b per... the kind of stats the OLD KG or Shaq NEVER got from ANY of the guys next to them in the frontcourt

    Shaq of course had Kobe/Wade and won rings. But you'd take '11 Pierce/Ray/Rondo over '04 Sprewell/Wally/Cassell... and that was KG's BEST Minny team that went to the West finals when he was a 24-15-6-2-2 MVP

    Now he and Shaq combine as a 28-16-5-2-2 ... with all those pieces

    Means the Celtics have the best team in the East when they're fit. Still a very good side when they're without key players on a given night as well. Very scary thought.

    The article was all about relationship not play.

    Relationship can change in so many ways (for good or for bad). Most of the time when you aged, you become wiser let it slides the things that normally bothers you when you were young.

    Maybe,..

    The article was about both relationships and performance.

    KG has made his bones as a player, and now that he has, it is all about the ring and team play. The fire is still there; however, the focus has changed.
