The generosity the Celtics showed Rondo that championship season to get a ring was touching.

Never in the history of NBA championship teams had a starting PG been less valuable.  No, Im not joking.. name a starting PG less valuable..

Not only wasnt Rondo the man for that title team, he was more the kid grasping tightly to the coattails of KG, PP, Ray et al..

Now after 7 years or so, his attitude and leaderships qualities  have deteriorated, if thats possible. No more HOF players to wipe his nose and drain jumpers.. Doc let this squirts ego grow uncontrollably out of control and the present team is left with the mess...

Il lgive Danny the same advice Ive been offering for a few years: Get rid of this rotten egg for a ham sandwich...

Yes, Ive heard of them.. Arent they based in Chicago?  Whats your point

Oh nothing. Just checking to see if you knew about their PG situation when they won 6 championships.

just so we know, in boston's championship finals rondo had 15 pts, 5 boards and 7 assists in game 1. followed with 4 pts, 6 rebounds and 16 dimes in game 2. after some adversity rondo came back in the game 6 clincher with 21 pts, 7 rebounds and 8 assists.

Hmmmm, seems to support the argument that you don't need a great PG at all if you have 2 or 3 HALL OF FAMERS  on the team. That must explain why Rondo got his one.

that's just me being forthcoming, karl. you go ahead and roll on the floor. any fool could name any number of PGs less valuable. and only a fool would not concede rondo support has solid merit. so you roll on the floor.

Chicago had Ron Harger for the last 3 and BJ Armstrong for the fisrt 3.

Point understood. I wonder how many Championships the C's with KG, PP, and RA might have had without the high maintenance, poor shooting, malcontent that Rondo was? There's something about knowing your place in the scheme of TEAM that just leads to winning. Thats Rondo's biggest weakness, he believes the hype that he is great. Not healthy for a good player. We are gonna be sorry if DA isnt preparing for what should be the inevitable trade.

Of course a Laker fan would want us to hold onto RR. This is a no-brainer. Insuring no further separation in the number of championships between us should be one of their top priorities.

He is...when he said that 20 teams were very happy with their point guard while trying to make a deal for Rondo at the trade deadline he was making a point...In the end, I don't think Rondo really wants to be here...he is being Rondo, he wants to run everything...there will be an influx of young, impressionable players on this team in the next 2-3 years....you have a coach who may be a good coach but is an infant in managing pros, guys whose scholarships he can't yank to make them do what he wants...almost all of them will be making more $$$ than him...DA has to make sure that vets like Rondo don't show Stevens up again FOR ANY REASON...I just don't think that's going to be possible with Rondo on the team...

Isn't it great that Rondo has mastered the social media and he has millions following his every tweet and Facebook entry.

He builds his brand by talking about his favorite late night snack, his favorite new movie, tv show, hip-hop musician, his excitement about being a Celtic and a new captain of the team... and how he draws excitement/energy from his fans at gametime... and stays focused, playing every game full bore.

His favorite color, how much he loves his daughter, what video games he plays, his long recovery from ACL injury.... and millions follow along and reply as he gets up close and personal with his fans who swoon to his every personal disclosure.... the more personal the better.

And yet the circumstances in which he celebrated his most awesome 28th BD with friends in LA while his team was in Sacto playing.... is suddenly off limits and its no one's business except his.

    Really Rondo?  Really?

But what about your millions of adoring fans dying to know, who hang on your every tweet?

    What about them?

    Pud
