    Jason Terry

Has anyone checked out his stats lately?  Last 5-10 games are pretty impressive overall.  Lot of people around here ragged on him pretty bad earlier this year.

BTW  look at Rays stats the last 10 games as well.  20% shooting the last 5 games and not much better last 10.

when you touch the ball and get a chance to create,  thats JT games,  always has been.

BTW  there were a lot more than Kirk on that bandwagon.

He should have been doing it all year.  If he had the Celtics would be in a much better position and Rondo wouldn't be getting the blame for such a poor record.

I was on that wagon and at the time, justified.  You can't tell anyone on this thread that if Terry, Lee and Bass hit shots in the first 35 games this team wouldn't be a 3 seed right now.

Well he was getting 11.7 on 52/43 shooting in November and has averaged the same points, FG% and under 40% from 3 since Rondo got hurt. His assists are way up though, he def does like handling the ball.

But Green, Lee, Bass and even Pierce all deserve more blame for the early season struggles than JET. He's a 35 year old 7th man. Lee should have taken the starting SG job and run with it from day 1.

    In response to Mployee8's comment:

Jet was turning the ball over quite abit (it seemed w/o looking at the stats) until Rondo went down ... He's cut down on his long/across the court passes that were disastrous. Maybe he's stepping up or his concentration level has improved ....

And yes, PP was turning the ball over more than usual as well and Green hadn't found his calling yet, Bass was in shock from losing his starting spot to a rookie and Lee just couldn't take the ball and run with it ... or shoot it very well either.

    good points

And for a classy pro like Bass to bein a funk, that really is amusing... I mean all he's given since rondo went down has been 8.5/5, he's still hardly lighting it up, and its not like ray who started for 15 years before Bradley took over... when the rookie is a far superior rebounder than you, and the HOFer you play alongside in the frontcourt is the same style offensive player as you (only much taller and better) then it only makes sense to have the interior guy who can board start.

Terry also had the minutes on the court while Rondo was on the bench and he still didn't produce.  That is a good 10 to 12 minutes a game and he faired no better.  You can blame Rondo all you want but you can't blame him for hogging the ball on the bench.

It very funny that all these players that weren't producing under our offensive as constructed where one guy handles the ball,  they all at the same time start producing.  Talk about a wild coincidence.  Remember JT starting?  I kept telling you he was a sixth man and thats where is was comfortable.  Starting alongs Rondo took away what JT does best.

I dont buy that comment about JT still did poorly when Rondo was on the bench..

Shooting is all about rythym.. once you get in a bad one, hard to shake.... and how many minutes did Rondo average?? And how many of the minutes Rondo wasnt on the court that JT was??

Right, not very often was JT on the court when Rondo wasnt

You can't even admit that you were wrong about Terry.

    Man up, Kirk!

...but fierce, the reason none of these guards are effective,   because the chalkboard play then was monotonous.  The fact, Terry- Lee - Barbosa & Bradley failed to deliver then. Blame Ainge and Doc and their management - now they see the light. It takes 5 to win, that's the celtics way for many years.
Don't jump to the bandwagon and claimed something. Speak with truth.

    Re: Jason Terry

What happened to the Celtics with Lee and Terry is that they were getting adjusted. It was too long and painful but with Rondo out they have a chance to do what they can do.  Let's see where this all takes us. Ainge needs to get KG some help and if he doesn't this team will go to rebuild mode instantly.
