I like the way you think. I am sure Ainge is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to adding to this team. It would be cool to bring Big Al back to the fold.

I think that is a mistake Celtics fans. jefferson really doesn't play defense.

I agree with BiasLewis I would ONLY give up JON & BBD for Al Jefferson and whoever else they throw in there (Raja Bell)?

Re: Jazz want to move Al Jefferson

thats why we need another KG or another defensive Power Forward.

Our lineup if we got this trade :

    PG: Rajon Rondo

SG: Aaron Afflalo,J.R Smith or Shannon Brown (sign one of these players)

    SF: Paul Pierce

    PF: Kevin Garnett

    C: Al Jefferson

Bench: Avery Bradley, J.O, Raja Bell, another powerforward, Marquis Daniels and rookies or throwbacks.

Jefferson isn't good enough to give up Ray Allen for but if the Jazz will take JON and BBD in a sign and trade then I'm good with that. :)

As far as I know there is no team in Mississippi..... if Jefferson were to come back to Boston he would have to check with his 3 advisors...... Jack, Jim, and Johnnie..........

The jazz would need a center type in return since AJ was their de facto center last yr..JO on his last legs and tweener baby just don't cut it..Sorry

I wish we could get both AJ and AK, I would rather have AK than AJ but both would solve some of our problems.  I don't know what we would need to give up but the two first round choices, big Baby, JO, and what?

They will probably draft Kanter with their 1st pick, leaving them with 3 PFs including Millsap and Big Al.  Millsap will also be there for the taking draft night.

Why in the world would Utah trade Jefferson and BBD and JON?
BBD is a free agent and can be had by just signing him and who would want JON next year?
At least come up with a trade idea that makes some sense.

You mean like Bynum for Howard....or Gasol for Love and the #2 pick?

Re: Jazz want to move Al Jefferson

Al Jefferson is not a big get at this time.  If the Celtics were to trade for him it would have to come cheap.  Trading Jeff Green and Ray for Al is way too much.

Jeff Green straight up would work.

al jefferson at center.... this is why MINNY and UTAH have grown (groan?) tired of him.  he'll get 20-25 and give up 22-28 nightly.  a net zero gain / slight loss.  his mobility is down since the knee surgery too.

on top of that he "didn't get along" with kevin love in MINNY.  wonder why?

in short, he'd be a swiss cheese center for us.  he's only slightly better +/- as a PF defensively speaking.

i think he's played his best days statistically, and they still did not involve any defense.

I love Big Al's offensive game and rebounding. However, his defense is a liability.
