    Re: Kings at Celtics

Fierce, Lee was traded around January 6th or so and Crawford was traded around January 14.

When both were traded, the Celtics had won only one game since December 18.

When Lee was traded, the Celtics were on a 1-7 string and that extended to a 1-12 string when Crawford got traded.  Winning 4 games since Lee got traded sounds like an upswing.

    Re: Kings at Celtics

Come on guys. Fierce might be annoying from time to time. But Bayless, Joel Anthony, and 2nd round picks for Lee and Crawford is really a downgrade. Lee might have not been a great fit here, but he is a solid player with some upsides and he is showing it at memphis.

Bayless is a poor mans crawford and I was never a fan of crawford.

And Asik would not turn this team around either. How many games has he played this season? If he will be healthy next year, he might be a nice piece of the puzzle. But if we trade for him this year, he won't change much. Sanders is similiar type of player. He could fill a need at a good team, but at a poor team he is just another role player.

Fierce, it's easy to say Lee is a better player than Bayless.  Crawford and Brooks went and we got Joel Anthony.

Because Lee has been a better player than Bayless doesn't mean it's a downgrade because he did not play well as a Celtic.  We were losing 13 of 14 WITH Lee and Crawford.

Call it a downgrade all you want, we're not on a 13 losses in 14 games string right now.

We don't need a healthy Asik this year. Next year would be great.

That's why it's called rebuilding. You trade for players that will make the team better next season rather than now so you still get a descent lottery pick. Doing it this way rather than blowing it up completely and starting over from scratch enhances the chances for a smoother, faster rebuild.

    [/QUOTE]

The line between rebuilt and tanking is very small. Going after Asik might be a rebuilt. But Joel Anthony makes us worse even next year. Difficult to call that rebuilt in the sense of: We exchange some puzzle pieces and content next year. This team is so flawed, we would need a real starplayer to make some noise next year. This is close to impossible. Most likely: We will stink next year again. That is not a rebuilt in my definition, but if you call it like that, we might have just another word for the same thing.

Mployee believes Ainge will have a "rebuilt" team in 2-3 years.

I think it's going to take longer than that.

Just because Ainge was able to get KG back in 2007, it doesn't mean Ainge can keep doing it.

anything could happen fiercy. i dont see theres something wrong with mployee's belief

Pressey is not an NBA PG.  This guy should not even be playing.

    He brings nothing.
