In response to "Re: Knicks kick Walker to the Curb":
Walker left the Celtics because of Danny's no knuckleheads policy. I guess the Knicks figured out the same thing. Posted by Kirk6
How do we explain Bill being a part of a trade for fellow knucklehead Nate Robinson? Lol.... Danny loves knuckleheads Kirk

A few months ago people were on here talking about how stupid Ainge was to trade Walker because he had a good game.

I don't hate the kid and he should stay in the NBA but he is not that good.  He really isn't.

obviously u dont follow the knicks. mr. walker is one of the reasons the knicks turned their season around. had he not gotten seriously injured right around the time jr smith got signed, he would still be out there. novak got to play at around the same time and is the best 3-point specialist in the league right now (ober ray and others), and melo came back as well. he was clamping down on the defense when lin was there. was no attitude problem, his 3-point shot deserted him as well although he was a great running partner with lin. he's a very tough and elite defender who can play multiple positions but shumpert is at a whole different level (right up there with bradley) and he has height.

mr. walker will be in the league next season and playing some key minutes, it just wont be with the knicks. not because he's terrible but because of circumstances. sometimes stuff happens. look at marquis daniels, is he horrible? no. same with nate and delonte west. who didnt think both their careers were over in recent years? its about getting in the right situations where there's noone able to clearly top your skilllsets. these are guys who arent supergreat at anyone thing but bring you the effort and do a lot of great things very good. when a bonafide stud or younger star comes along, they are the first to be shuffled... not everyone can be ELITE!

BTW, have you not noticed the tons of ex-celtics who contribute all over the league even when they cant get off the bench here and the stiffs who come here and thrive? its the system and competition around you. was there a line for peaches or pavlovic or steamer? yet they have all made contributed for us. likewise, semih erden started games and guys like luke harangody have come up with some spectacular games for others. i think both Jj and moore could be spectacular for others if given the chance to compete around non-big 3 type guys. they just cant justify minutes here, doesnt mean they are horrible people!

I agree Kirk, we can rebuild and stay competitve (hopefully) at the same time.  Never liked Walker - doesn't play D.  Was good for D'Antoni, because.....well, he doesn't stress D!!
