The Lakers wouldn't trade Gasol for Pierce.
The Lakers need a pg.

Finally someone sees the real Ray Allen. He is also a lousy passer. Rarely goes to the hoop. Have you noticed how few foul shots he takes? Plays no defense. How many times have you seen him touched by an opposing player??? He avoids being touched by others. Sometimes he doesn't shoot for an entire period. Why is that????

would do oierce for bynum (with draft picks or extra pieces added) but only do ray and gasol straight up with extra pieces. gasol-pierce and kg would be awesome.

I am sure LA would jump at the chance to trade Gasol for a 36 year old player to back up Kobe for 10 minutes per game...

I'm not sure what an Mtrax is but the post I replied to was for a Ray Allen/Gasol trade.

Ray and JO for Gasol is a no-brainier trade the celtics would have to make if they have a chance

Why would LA do this? Ray would play 10 minutes/game behind Kobe.

The Lakers are still over the cap without Gasol.
The only way for them to get Howard is by trade.

The Lakers are much better with Gasol then with Ray Allen and Jermaine.
In Response to Re: Laker pre-game show talking about Pierce for Gasol : Yeah, but I don't think that's what the Lakers are really after. I think the Lakers are really after Ray and JO. Both have expiring contracts which will allow the Lakers to sign DH in the summer. On draft night the Lakers trade Bynum for Deron and everything falls into place. The Lakers are executing a misdirection play.
Posted by Fiercest34
I hope you are right because the Lakers can have JO and Ray if we get Gasol to play with KG, we would be tough.

In Response to Re: Laker pre-game show talking about Pierce for Gasol:
In Response to Re: Laker pre-game show talking about Pierce for Gasol : Again you failed to see the big picture. The Lakers will not be over the cap because JO and Ray's contract will expire in the offseason. Andrew Bynum has a team option so if the Lakers decline to pick up Bynum's team option then you once again shed 16m from your payroll. And the last step is to amnesty Artest. Once the Lakers get rid of Gasol's contract Deron and DH will be able to join the Lakers.  And don't forget the Lakers also have the trade exception from the Odom trade.
Posted by Fiercest34
So, LA should trade Gasol and then let Bynum walk?
Why would they get rid of both centers and have nothing to show for it?
Lakers haters make no sense when analyzing the Lakers.

Why would NJ and Orlando not want something back for Deron and Dwight? So, you think LA will get rid of Bynum and Gasol in the hopes that they could sign Deron and Dwight and that they don't get traded to another team?
