He can shoot from the outside and from the free throw line and he didn't cost us Gasol. With the way the team is gelling and our bigs are playing this is great news.

    Thank you Jimmy.Laughing

Not sure who posted the news first, but I tried deleting my thread when I saw this one and I couldn't. Sorry...

Lakers traded Luke Walton and a 2012 1st round draft pick for Sessions and Christian Eyenga.

LA did not have to use their Odom trade exception.

Getting rid of the Walton contract was huge. Holding onto the amnesty = brilliant.

They are also going to get Beasley from what it sounds like...  if they get both then they have definitely upgraded their roster.

Mitch did a great job getting Sessions for practically nothing. If he was to get Beasley as well, that would only further add to his resume as easily the greatest GM in the game today!

With the value of 1st rd picks and the way team horde them the cost was pretty high

LA knew a month ago that would be the price and it took all the way till noon at the deadline for them to make the move. Had they gotten him March 1st maybe their team would be better?

Sessions is an upgrade to Blake/Fisher... but hardly a move that gets them a title

Yes, nice of Shaq and pau Gasol to get him those rings wasn't it?  And now with Sessions you guys can quit the weekend at Bernies routine and give Fisher the burial he deserves :)

The Cavaliers HAD to trade Sessions because Sessions had a player option for $4.55 million next year, which he would decline and opt for free agency, because he does not want to spend his career playing behind Kyrie Irving.  I am glad Cavs at least got a 1st round pick for Sessions!

    Re: Lakers acquire Ramon Sessions

Do you notice a pattern in the Lakers trades over the last 4 months?

    Gone:
    Odom - 32
    Fisher - 37
    Walton - 31
    Kapono - 31

    New:
    Sessions - 25
    Eyenga - 22
    Hill - 24
