You don't hang banners in March.

If the Lakers were able to play in the East, you know their record would be much better.

I guess the Power Rankings hurt Celtics fans...

    Karma.

    ----------------------------------------------------

I'm sorry it's just You have players going to disnelyland over that so I thought a banner for making the 8th seed was sure to follow (only banner you will get this year). no the power ranking don't hurt a bit. We know we are not a first round out like the Lakers (assuming they don't fall back into the lottery)

The Lakers make the playoffs every year, so it's no big deal to them.

Boston routinely dips into the lottery (unintentionally, wink wink) a few times each decade.

That somehow only matters to you, which is really weird.

Well when you are in second place in championships, and 3-9 against the first place team, it's important to get there as much as possible to give yourselves a chance to improve.

Still this year has been an epic failure for the Lakers.  If they were in the east they would still be an 8th seed.  Sadly they won't even do their annual second round loss as this year year it looks like a first round exit awaits them.

Boston fans have made fun of the Lakers for being out of the playoffs and under .500.

They can only make up 1 game at a time!!!!!!

Boston is in 7th place and their fans act like it is 1st.

The Lakers are/will play great when it counts.

Boston will lose thier final game of the season for the 26th time in the last 27 years.

    That spells MEDIOCRE.

mediocre is a first round out. goodbye Lakers! :) We will be in the ECF playing the real championship game.

Please don't hit the reply button for the admitted liar.

Funny how lakers fans say the lakers (who are closer to 9th place than 6th) say "the lakers are only two games away from the 6 seed", while saying in the same breath the Celtics (who are closer to the 5 seed than the 8th)" reside in 7th place" ( it's a tie with CHI)

    love them lakers fans!!

    ECF without Rondo?

    No, no chance.

Do you mean the team that got drubbed by the Bobcats 6 days ago?

The Lakers are playing .700 ball over the last 30 games.

They are getting it together just in time for a HUGE run.

700 ball congrats!!!!!! That is great for the second best team in nba history. We are playing 800 ball over our last 20 games :)

Enjoy your first round exit at the hands of the spurs or thunder.

    ========================================

Ya Know, regarding the lottery we had real bad luck when the supposed best college player Len Bias died 2 days after being drafted in 1986. This has nothing to do with the lottey but our best player Reggie Lewis dies of a heart attack on the court in 1993. I mean we really had bad luck too in 1997 having a 36% chance(1 in 3) to get Tim Duncan yet the Spurs with a 25%(1in 5) lucked out.  This really explains the draught in titles in the 90s until 2010.
