Today on Around the Horn and PTI......consensus opinion is the Lakers will not make the playoffs if they lose 3 in a row to fall to 15-21....Wilbon projects the final cutoff to be around 46 wins.....that means the Lakers would need to go 31-15 to get there...thats a .674 winning percentage the rest of the way....and with Howard and Gasol both out indefinitely...?  ....that is asking a lot....we shall see....

Lakers should consider signing Kris Joseph! He would likely be a starter on their team!!

How can you have a 100m payroll and not be in the playoff picture.

    HAHAHA

Legler just stated on ESPN the Fakers will be lucky to get into the playoffs! The Spurs and OKC on deck!!

Last 5 years the Lakers are a front running team. When things are good they win they do not handle adversity well at all the get angry and moody. Go back to 2008 finals and every year they havent won. They show there true colors.

Mitch may have to trade DH in an attempt to salvage the season! Gasol's value is plummeting!!

I still want them to make the playoffs. The last time they were a lottery team they ended up getting Andrew Bynum.

Draft lotto = no ring for Kobe!

With Mike DAntoni as the lakers coach it's more like the Los Angeles Suns.

Shoot 3's and don't play any defense!

    HAHAHAHA

I would prefer the Lakers make the playoffs as the 8th seed so that they will not get a lottery pick which could turn out to be Anthony Benneth, Shabazz Muhammad, or Ben McLemore.
I believe that the Lakers don't own their first round pick even if they are in the lottery.

Check out Adande's comments.  Where did you pick up that they will own their lottery pick?

    True that.

Think about it, Pau Gasol is under contract until next season. If the Lakers trade Gasol and Howard ends up leaving, the Lakers will be left with Jordan Hill and Sacre as the only bigs on the roster.
For the first time Kobe would probably get enough shots!
