OKC is really good. I can't see anyone in the West beating them this year. Well done drafting, and then keeping their players.... -

The Lakers couldn't even score 90 points against OKC with a complete roster. Ha Ha -

Anyone that doesn't think Perkins isn't a factor for the Thunder when they play a big team are mistaken. Perkins is quicker than I have ever seen him. No he isn't a all star just saying he has a big role on this team, just like with the C's , it just doesn't include scoring. -

Posted by CASoxYou might want to rethink that because the Thunder are running team with Kendrick Perkins in the middle and Serge Ibaka, the best shot-blocker in the NBA this season, as the PF.The Lakers are exclusively a halfcourt team because they're PGs and SFs are weak.Didn't we get beat by the Lakers 2 weeks ago? Rondo was playing in that game, right? -

Where are the trolls now? We lose by 15 yesterday with 4 players out, and the Fakers lose by 15 tonight with all their players.
I agree with you on Perk. His job is not score on OKC, but defend, the two blocks in the beginning of the game showed why they wanted him. If he scores, thats an added bonus. I do miss his interior defense. -

We got the lead down to 6 points after Pierce's FT. But we couldn't stop OKC in the halfcourt with less than 5 minutes remaining, right? Harden FTs, Ibaka dunk, Durant bank shot, all coming in halfcourt sets. OKC was just a running team 2 years ago. Now, they're also very good in the halfcourt. -

All the trolls are crying, shedding Tears for Fierce. It's in the way you're always hiding from the light.
See for yourself, you have been sitting on a time bomb.
No revolution maybe someone somewhere else,
could show you something new about you and your inner song.
And all the love, and all the love in the world
won't stop the rain from falling,
waste sleeping underground.
Break it down again
I want to break it down,
Break it down again.Break it down again... -

Posted by CASoxThe Lakers of the 80s were a running team that won 5 titles. But when Kareem retired, Magic Johnson never won a ring, right?I'm not saying we don't run. We just don't run with Rondo. I'd rather we run with Avery Bradley than Rondo. -

Please... look at Perks numbers before you say stuff like this... Perk can be somewhat effective because the lakers have slow bigs.... but look at most of their games and Perk shares minutes with Collison and Mohammed... and almost always struggles so please dont say Perk is the difference -

The Lakers were winning right before halftime.
Boston was down by what 27 in second quarter?
Good thing for Boston that OKC took their foot off of the gas. -

OKC had the 2nd overall pick in 2007, the 4th in 2008 and the 3rd in 2009.
It's pretty easy to rebuild quickly when a team has 3 top 4 picks in 3 years. -

Thats true, but you got to pick correctly. Blazers picked Oden at #1, and look what happened. Sam Bowie #2 in 84, Darko Milicic in 2003 picked #2 by Detroit. Point is just because you have a high pick, its not instant success. You got to give Presti all the credit. -

It was pretty easy to pick Durant when Oden was taken by Portland. -

Well if Portland took Durant, then OKC would have taken Oden. So luck does also play a part, but there is a reason why Presti is one of the better GM's in the league. -

You are correct about a running team beating the twin tower team but read Magic's comments I have paraphrased. Enjoyed watching the Lakers lose to Thunder. I have been saying in many posts that LA wins more games than we do because their Twin Towers outrebound other teams & despite mediocre shooting, they give the PFs, PGs etc. extra shots. But last night Westbrook and Durant drove to the basket and also made outside shots. Magic Johnson, however, said they are a Jump Shooting team and a very good one but going deep in the playoffs may be difficult as they should have some easy baskets from a strong rebounding center which they don't have. So, like us, the Celtics, they live and die on jump shots. But do not die as much as we don't have a Durant & Westbrook. Will be interesting to see what happens as they are in the market for a BIGGIE too !!! -

The teams went back and forth for the first half, but the Lakers lost control when they allowed the Thunder to run in the third quarter. Disappointing loss. Plenty of work for the coaching staff in the second half. -

I don't really think the "allowed" the Thunder to run. When you take bad shots, there are long rebounds, and when there are long rebounds, young legs get out and run. As constructed, this is a VERY bad matchup for the lakers, and all lakers fans had better hope they do not have to play OKC in the playoffs. They RAN - nothing LAL could do about it.......just like us the night before.
