totally blitze the spurs in the first half but pacers took their legs out.. for one game. that as good as spurs can play and it came to a globetrotter lucky parker shot. just like his marriage to eva, he got l-u-c-ky. just like with her, he will find a way to blow it at the end. he's great but not bron. besides, the heat always seem to lose the first game as they size up their opponents just like a cobra. they will win game 2 and take 2 in spurs land!

Even if you were right,  I have a dog who could predict with the same kind of logic.  Can't you just stifle yourself.

The author of this thread is Gary Busey... only he could have such logic

Spurs shot 41% and only 7-23 from 3pt land on mostly open shots and thats as good as the Spurs can play? lol

About the Heat always losing the first game... maybe I been watching the wrong playoffs

Spurs are the highest basketball IQ team from coach to players by a long shot. They neutralized LeBron in the paint and dared Benedict and Lizard man to beat them at the three point line; Allen almost did but Bosh reverted to his sub 30% field goal percentage and voila...a well executed Spurs win. The Spurs play like the Patriots; well coached, players all dedicated to "doing their job"...and Tony Parker is the most underated player in the league and hopefully on his way to winning the finals MVP...

You don't seem to know basketball that well; it is a team sport; Parker just happens to be an underated true superstar whose game is as good as Cliff Paul and just a bit below Isiah. By the way, the Pistons and Celtics beat the MJ-led Bulls teams in the playoffs year after year in the 80s because they were better teams. Once the Celtics and Pistons finally got older, the Bulls finally advanced to the NBA finals and beat an older Lakers team in the Finals...the Bulls never beat a great team in their prime.

True... and the Heat aren't nearly as good as the Jordan led Bulls, and only better than the present day Bulls by the thinnest of margins.

Simply put, Miami is good but far from a great team.

Commie you're off here man. The Spurs didn't shoot well and can play better.

The Heat meanwhile played pretty good as a team. If Wade can't stay healthy they are in huge trouble as Bosh can't get it done...

Either team could win the series, no doubt about that, but given that the team that wins game one wins the NBA finals 70 percent of the time, you shouldn't throw a party for the Heat for losing game one.

A more honest post would have been for you to admit you are rooting hard for the Heat, because you want to post about how great Ray Allen is, and you like Lebron, etc.

Tony Parker's performance was not a fluke by the way. He was an MVP candidate this year.

Go ahead and admit you're rooting hard for the Heat, don't be afraid, it will feel good to come out....

Bigger factor is that now Joey Crawford is going to be a ref for game 2 and maybe beyond.  That is a bad news for the Spurs and probably guarantee ring for the Heat.

The thing everyone seems to be forgetting is the Spurs already had the lead when Parker hit that shot! Definately no guarentee the Heat hit a shot with 5 seconds left in the game if Parker misses.

    Have a Green Day!!!

How convenient Crawford is brought back to ref when he was suspended for an issue with Duncan in which Duncan was tossed from game for laughing on the bench. Really? Here comes the ref influence again ...watch the FT attempts go twice as much to the Heat tonight.

Both the Heat and the Spurs attempted 14 FTs tonight.

The Heat had 17 total fouls while the Spurs had 14 total fouls.

The refs were not a factor in the outcome of this game.

Nope...Duncan didn't seem to have his normal game. Heat won this with good D at end of game.

Yeah, but you said the FTs would double in favor of the Heat.

I'm just pointing out that both the Heat and Spurs had the same number of FT attempts.

I fully expected a difference. It's been trending that way. I will give the Heat credit though. Defense came up big at the end of game....and shut the Spurs down. I have no problem admitting I was wrong with my premise.

    +1

Actually it is like that the entire post season. People complaining about "fixing" this post season concerning the heat is only whining and stereotypes.
