I would trade Bradley for a big in a second. Especially for one that could play immediatley. (Maybe not for Doc though) Thoughts? -

Posted by townie68Bradley for a big man? Are teams really that dumb? Bradley's 1.7 ppg and 0.4 apg makes other teams excited about his potential? Bradley even averages more turnovers than assists, 0.5 TOs per game. -

Bradley except for the last game of the season showed he was woefully underskilled and inexperienced all year long. He may be something in the future but what team has that kind of patience to give up something of value now for a player who is not able to help them now. -

a lot of these guys should stay in college for 2-3 years instead of going right away. many lack the basics that college can help them develop. -

NO! Bradley has a lot of potential and that last game should of proved it, he is on a team with a star point guard and 3 HOF. Believe me he will be very valuable in the NEAR future. This kid isnt even 21 yet. -

I agree with the sentiments on Bradley, and it appears that he was a developmental project all along for Boston. Now we have to develop that value.
I really hope that we go with the backcourt of Bradley and West behind Allen and Rondo. -

You left out a couple of words in your initial question. You wrote Bradley for a big man?
You out the words "that can't play".... i.e. Bradley for a big man that can't play?
A 6 foot 11 260 pound stiff who would need a trampoline they use at half time to reach the rim...... is there anyway we can get two of them? -

Bradley is a pipe dream right now, worse than Tony was at that stage and that is bad. I am not sure you could get a #2 for Avery. -

He is not a PG, never going to be one in my eyes. That leaves the posibility for very small SG that can't shoot or could be a defensive specialist SG that is again undersized. He is not a developmental project, he is a mistake. The Globe has a similar blip about Ainge touting him as top 5 picks this year if he stayed in school, but their take is that Ainge is trying to inflate his value so he can trade Bradley for something. At least someone is a little more discerning than Andy Katz. -

I agree that more college experience would help a lot of players be better prepared for the NBA. Some definitely lack the confidence and ability they would gain from remaining in college longer. -

Bradley might not fight the Celts right now, but could he develop for a team that is rebuilding? I'm sure some team would want him. The NBA draft these days is based on potential, and Bradley has more potential then several of this years point guards. Does anybody else remember Kahn drafting 3 point guards in the same draft? Sure he traded one, but plenty of NBA GM's make head scratching trades. Most 19 year olds dont make instant impacts in the NBA, especially on a veteran team like the Celts. -

Posted by townie68Avery Bradley was 19 years old when the Celtics drafted him, that's true. But it's also true, if you've seen Bradley play, that Avery Bradley sux at dribbling, is not a shooter, and shoots every time he thinks he's open.So is he a SG? A SG that is not a shooter? Is he a PG? A PG that does not pass the ball?Just because Avery Bradley has the potential to become a good defender it doesn't mean he's an NBA player. We already had that kind of player before, his name is Marcus Banks. -

I said exactly the same in a different thread. Some guys coming much to early into this league. Bradley was so far away from beeing a NBA player last year, it was not even funny. -
