LEE!!!!

Lee played his best game of the year last night. His defense which has been good all year was  great against portland. He filled up the stat sheet in his 37 minutes. 10pts 7reb 5asts 3 steals.

His defense was the story of the game. Really pressuring the ball and contesting jumpers.  He elimated the need for the bigs to help, which allowed them to stay home and protect the rim and rebound.   He really kept the guards on the perimeter and didnt allow them to breakdown the defense. Just really great stuff to see.  The best part it should be only get better once avery comes back.

"Once Bradley comes back, Lee is expendable."

Agreed - if Bradley comes back healthy Lee is trade bait for a big, along with whoever else sticks to the wall.

That said glad to see Lee play well, we can use that intensity either on the court or as leverage.

I've no idea, do you? Hence the "IF". It was a pretty serious injury, that's all i know.

Funny right? Fierce thinks Bradley is the saviour --  he will eat his word.  The guy was out since middle of the playoff -- now, it's December and has'nt come back - that tells you how severe his injury.

If you are Bradley and severely injured, will you play hard when you come back? Fat chance! Defense is not easy to do....only those commited to do it - in return injury is certain.

Get rid of the redundant wings and go for legit big to salvage the season. We need anchor!

You just said expendable and lee take the backseat.

Considered to be "not worth keeping or maintaning & the saviour will be Bradley?

Contract--contract-contract when you have nothing to say.....what about his play instead of the contract?

You will retain a guy with sever injury because his contract is less?

The Celts desperately need a big man, right?

So worry about Bradley's injury later.

Besides, the Celts have Terry and Barbosa at SG.

Pierce can also play a little SG.

It's simple, sacrifice Lee to get a big man.
Its going to be hard to get that big man until Green is available for trade. Which I think is in January.  That is unless DA trades someone else.  Without Green I am not sure we could get Gortat unless u include, PP, KG or RR.   Don't think thats going to happen.

Include PP, KG or RR in a deal for Gortat? Come on, I'd like to have Gortat but he's not THAT good.

    Great observation! + 1

AB stopped guard penetration last year, which took allot of pressure off of interior defenders. Last night Lee stopped guard penetration!

I didn't say that.  I said that is the only way we would get Gortat.  I hope Fierce is right and we could trade Lee, Melo and some Picks for him.  That would work for me.

Lee and Bradley are basically the same player.

One thing's for sure, can't keep both of them.

It's called the law of diminishing returns.

    Again, economics.
As long as they play tough D, dish the ball, penetrate or move without the ball, make their open shots when given,  it doesn't matter..that makes us even more dangerous as the defense cannot focus on one player making assists. I would hate to see either one leave. They both contribute in differenct ways and lee can defend the bigger guards. Danny is going to have to look at the options with Rondo. I thought our attitude problems were over, but I was wrong. Rondo can bring us that Big that we desperately need. I say, do it if the right deal is there. This will give us a more varied offensive attack that is much more difficult to defend. Its going to be an interesting Dec or Feb...lol
