    Los Angeles V Boston

After all that crazy talk about which city is better .... LA or Boston. Can't say anything about Boston as I've never been there. LA however.

We'll there is Disneyland. The beaches are ok I guess. Nothing on those of Sydney. Santa Monica is nice though.

Recent list of the worlds most livable cities. Dominated by Canada and Australia. Most pleased.

Don't let me be the only one to tell you.  Money Magazine has FIVE greater BOSTON cities listed as the best places to live in the country:
    #2: Milton, MA - http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2011/snapshots/PL2541725.html
    #11: Sharon, MA - http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2011/snapshots/CS2560785.html
    #16: Acton, MA - http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2011/snapshots/CS2500380.html
    #28: Chelmsfod, MA - http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2011/snapshots/CS2513135.html
    #43: Easton, MA - http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2011/snapshots/CS2520100.html

Walnut, CA came in at #57... but lest we should forget, you get to sit in hours more traffic to get to LA where you work, breathe more polluted air, enjoy an inferior education system, and receiver lesser healthcare from inferior hospitals

    But enjoy the weather!

I do not have a problem with you, I am sure there are many fine Colleges in MA. But there are many fine ones in California such as Stanford, Berkley , USC , UCLA and many more, i just have a problem with people who post stats that are not completly factual

for example the one about air pollution includes the Inland Empire which is not even close to Los Angeles its about 60 miles away . and if Los Angeles has a bigger population than Boston there is going to be a higher percentage of crime

the title of the thread is Los Angeles v Boston not California V Massachusetts

Having more people, means there are more colleges.  Not necessarily better.  I have lived in both places, have you? There are two Ivy League schools in MA alone, 3 in New England, not counting Bowdoin and Holy Cross, which could both be Ivy League...I think you pretty much hit on all the CA ones, although UCLA, while a GOOD school, does have 33,000 students............how good can it be, academically, really?
