In 2010, Doc gassed out his players. That 4th quarter, the starters had nothing left in the tank. Once again, Doc left his starters out too long and had no faith in other players once the lead was built. The starters had nothing left when it mattered. Can't believe you are putting blame on KG.
"Think about it, if KG did something like what Noah did tonight"...
That's unfair man. Noah is half KG's age. Noah has no hardware. Noah has a lot to prove to ever be in the same category as KG.
KG showed a lot of heart and is not why the Celtics lost to the Knicks.
The Knicks actually showed a lot of heart and resolve themselves. When it mattered they came to play.
The Bulls were amazing and deserve major kudos but the Nets also collapsed and exposed themselves as total frauds. The Bulls did something amazing but the Nets helped them by caving and giving up a series they never should have lost.
The worst thing is the Nets matchup well against the Heat (great point guard, beef inside) and could have given the Heat a series. This hobbled Bulls team has NO SHOT. Unless for some reason Rose decides he can somehow play (not likely).
I'm not saying Noah is as good as KG. No way Noah is on the same level with KG. But Noah delivered when the Bulls needed him the most.
All I'm saying is when put in a Game 7 situation, KG usually does not perform at a high level.
Back in 2010, Game 7 Finals, it was there for the taking. But KG got outplayed by Pau Gasol in the biggest game of their lives.
Last season it was Lebron vs. Pierce, Ray vs. Wade, and Bosh vs. KG in the east finals. The only match-up that favored the Celts was KG vs. Bosh. And KG couldn't take advantage of Bosh who was not at 100% because of injury.
All those players you listed above are relied upon by their teams to score points... KG has never been a big time scorer for the Celtics. He gets his 20 here and there, sometimes more.. usually less. His mobility and jump have diminished from his earlier years... so what is it youre expecting from him?? To score 30 with 20 rebs in game 7???
The guy is physically unable to do it every night, including 2010 and last seasons ECF finals. Lower your expectations... not everyone is gonna pull a Larry Bird and get off traction at the hospital and lead the team to victory with a triple double .... thats as rare as finding the next Bill Russell
