Marshon Brooks and Kris Joseph the possible sleeper steals of the trade

I am a little bored waiting for the wife while she is shopping but the thought occurred to me that far too much may be given to the draft picks that Boston received from NJ and not enough has been discussed regarding Boston obtaining Brooks and Joseph. I felt that DAinge had made a mistake in not keeping Joseph in the first place as his game was very similar to that of Paul Pierce. So I am really happy about his return. Marshon Brooks isn't called Kobe Bryant without reason as he has a smooth shot and can light up the scoreboard. They will be given the opportunity to showcase their talents. These two guys may turnout to be very nice additions to the Celtics.

brooks and Crawford are two really good scorers for the 2nd unit, but I doubt they can play together unless iverson turns out to be a heck of a shot blocker.  I expect 1 to be gone.

I dont know ... it would be really entertaining. Both can ball handle and we saw Crawford make some really smart passes last season. That could be a dynamic second unit... and by dynamic I mean interesting to watch, streaky, potential to grow and get better, but ultimately losing us games which is KEY.

Makes sense.  Have a fun to watch, high scoring team.  Loose 120 to 100 but make the highlight reels.  I guess we really don't need to concern ourselves with defense.

Crawford dribbles, too much and too often looks to shoot first and ignore open man. He does not belong in the rotation of a team rebuilding unless is bein utilized to insure more losses.

People tend to undervalue interior defense.

Agree with Marshon Brooks, the kid can fill up the basket, Kris Joseph on the other hand won't leave the bench assuming he even makes the team...

Is Danny still working on that?

I thought it was dead but haven't been paying much attention to that.

he said he'll know more monday....

    New big in mix?

The Celtics remain interested in center Vitor Faverani, who currently is under contract to Valencia of the Spanish League. As of yesterday, the team still was debating a buyout of the 6-foot-11 Brazilian’s contract, a process that never is simple or predictable.

The Celtics hope to know more by Monday. . . .

+1  Crawford can't bring as much as Brooks, if MarShon gets the playing time.

Yeah you may be right. I could say the same about Brooks though. I hope they keep both, at least until the trade deadline because that'll be a really interesting point of debate. They can compete with each other. Both are scorers and I think both have NBA futures. Both are on similar rookie deals. Again, I hope we get to see them compete. I just dont know how when we still have Courtney Lee who is a better overall SG right now.
