Lakers look like an elite team when they're facing midget teams like the Warriors and the Suns. But when up against the real elite teams the Lakers look like an elite lottery team. So thanks, Jimmy, thanks for making the Lakers an elite lottery team. Ha Ha -

Dwayne Wade not playing really lets it sink in how far the Lakers are from the top of the league.Trolls will talk about their overally record but when they actually spend some real time on the road the Lakers will crumble. Tonight was the only the start. -

Lakers winning percentage: .625
Celtics winning percentage: .385
It's a good thing Boston played the Pistons, Washington twice, NJ without Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries and Toronto without Bargnani.
Boston could be 0 and 13 if they played all decent teams. -

I knew you would point to the record but look at the games you will play on the road and how easy your schedule has been to this point. Let's see where you are in month. My guess is you will begging for a trade. We will most likely improve. If not we are rebuilding. In the land of elite teams you are not on the list. You are in denial. Just remember Dallas this last May. It will happen this year as well. Good luck with reality. -

In Response to Re: Miami punches the Lakers in the grill:In Response to Re: Miami punches the Lakers in the grill : The Lakers beat the 5th best team in the West on the road. The Lakers are 1 player away from the championship. Boston might not ever be a great team again. The fat lady (no, not Ainge) has sang her last song.

I don't care what number you said.
OKC just lost to Washington.
Are they all gloom and doom? No.
Neither are the Lakers.
Talk to me when Boston has beaten a team with a .300 winning percentage or higher. -

Those fit in the mid-late range.
They are not early 1st round picks.
Outside of the top 4 or 5, this draft is not nearly as strong as people make it out to be. Very few Europeans are projected to be in the draft. -

Posted by mtraxPlease do some research about the NBA lottery. If you're in the top 14 that means you'll be in the lottery. Let me simplify by telling you that the pick the Cavs used to get Kyrie Irving came from the Clips which was supposed to be the 8th pick. After the lottery that 8th pick became the #1 pick. Get it? -

The odds are strongly against the Celtics of having a top 5 pick.
The odds are greater of having a pick of #13 or 14.
Depends how bad the Celtics are this year. (Looking terrible right now.)
The Clippers pick will probably be in the 18-25 range. -

For all trolls who see the Lakers as elite. From Wojo this morning after their troubling loss to the shorthanded Heat.As for the Lakers, everything is so much more precarious. Ron Artest is on the steep decline and Derek Fisher can no longer possibly be the starting point guard for a contender. The Lakers need speed, athleticism and dependable shooting. Ownership is leery of spending money and must understand: Unless they make a deal, these Lakers are doomed. -

A. Wojo: Captain Obvious.
It is January, not March 15th.
I think the Lakers know what they need.
They don't have to get it right now. -

But the Celtics look like a patsy even when they are facing midget teams like the Suns. 71 points at home against the midget team?
It's not as if the Celtics went 9-1 at home. You should thank God that you are playing in the pathetic Atlantic, playing in the west you would have gone 2-12. -

Lakers are lucky their season was front loaded again...9-1 at home...1-6 on the road....currently 7th seed in the West....as for the Celts...? ...methinks the rebuilding is about to begin...this year might be a mirror of last year...if the Celts luck into the playoffs they may get swept...Lakers look to be one and done...neither team has a shot at a championship in my opinion....but that's just me... -

It was funny the Fakers against the Heat, the Heat up by 20 in the 4th quarter and the brilliant Faker coach still has KOME out there chucking shots 1 a minute. Ends up scoring abou 12-14 pt in garbage time after bricking it the whole game. Played about 40 minutes. Even the announcers were wondering why the Fakers didn't sit people and rest for the Magic. I guess KOME needed to keep his average up.
