    Murphy Worst player in NBA

     is there a worse player currently on a NBA roster than Troy Murphy?
    he moves in slow motion, has no desire, and has no
    coordination. why did DA want this loser?

    because he s tall and he can rebound and shoot very well, i can t.....

    Bring him back, give him the benefit of a full training camp and the opportunity to get into shape and actually play. Sitting around New jersey while your coach discredits you at every angle could take some wear and tear. True, he is used to being on not so great teams and adopting the thinking that comes with being marginal-you could see that when he got out in the game, he would heave up quick shots-not Doc's philosophy I think.
    The previous post is right, he can board and shoots quite well for a 6'11 guy. We need him back, in shape and maybe canning about 500 practice shots a day.

    There is a lot worse the guy before he was injured put up good numbers. The signing of Troy was more about blocking Miami than him filling a big need

    Murphy might not be the worst player but he is clearly the ugliest. He looks like a horse.

    Upgrade over BBD, are we kidding?   Hope springs eternal.

    This guy is and was a waste.  With a full training camp, he'll get up to 4 points a game, have his man blow by him regularly at his age and speed, and simply take up space.   He will have 2 or 3 good games, followed by 10 or 12 games where he's invisible.  

    I just don't get the lover for an aging guy who keeps proving he's lost it.  He was never "good", just ok on a terrible team.  But as that team got better, they got rid of him.  Then his next team (Nets) sat him as the 3rd forward on the team.  Then he came to us and is the worst forward on the team.   And people still think he'll do something for us.

    Wow what faith.  Hope springs eternal, I guess.

    Funny reading these old threads.  Was reading somewhere and Mike Brown says that Murph is playing good defense, and has been playing well offensively.  I would still take Bass over him, but I think Murph can still contribute part time on a good team.  I guess some would say the Lakers aren't a good team though.

    Both the Celts and Lakers have the same MLE. Celts got Bass, Wilcox, and Dooling while the Lakers got McBoberts, Kapono, and Murphy. Thanks, Jimmy!

    Boston did good with Bass but how do you go from Shaq, Krstic, Perkins, Erden & JON last year to JON.
