Its because Stern knows Doc isnt worth 2 draft picks or even 1... Just getting rid of the contract of that nothing coach should make the C's execs jump for joy

Actually the way to work this is out is trade first Garnett for the compensation, then and only then, allow Doc out of his contract.

HEY FUNGUS! YOU ARE WRONG AGAIN........You cannot trade an NBA coach FOR ANOTHER PLAYER OR COACH, BUT YOU CAN TRADE an NBA COACH for COMPENSATION.  Look it up! Now please move on with your rediculousness............

so what is keeping the trade from being a done deal? does it has to be monetary compensation? instead of the picks??

Never has there been so much speculation about a trade for Deandre Jordan, or late first round draft picks.  Jordan for a rebuilding team will mean nothing other than mediocrity and the draft picks have very little chance of making any difference.

We should rebuild, keep Garnett and Pierce for one more year  with the option to the trade them at the all star break.  I have had it with these nothing additions to the team.  It will mean next to nothing.

You might be right but what does keeping Garnett and Pierce and Doc means?? we are going to see the same boring team we witnessed this past season.. whoever wants a trade, wants a change and I dont blame them!

It is the open dialogue about one deal being tied to the other. It implies that the Garnette trade was only going to take place if Doc was going to LA to be the coach. ILLEGAL. You'd think both sides woulda been more discrete. Now they have to do a REAL exchange or trade for both scenarios and not tie any value from one to the other. CRAZY!
