Never to early to give these rookie homework!!!

    James Young needs:

    - better ball handling, specifically a nice dribble shake move or two he can rely on to get separation for shots and lay-ups.

    - better drive containment, needs to understand good defensive stance and footwork for closeouts.

    Marcus needs:

    -See Young on ball handling.

-Needs to improve his consistency as a corner three shooter then top of the key.

The top of the three threat makes pick n rolls more effective, and the corner three makes him a defense's nightmare because if they know he can knock it down, they want to closeout fast and if you closeout fast on a Marcus Smart you will put your rim protector in foul trouble.

Need that off the pick stop and pop jump shot.  One of the key for a good pick and roll player, Rondo does not have that shot, unfortunately.

None of our guards have the shot, but the advice above is solid and should be noted by the players.

Thanks for the positive post this day, It is a hard day on me , not because of the picks , but because we were unable to speed this up with trades.
