    Re: New backup point guard?

Barbosa is a good player but isn't a point guard.  He averaged 1.5 assists in 22 minutes last year.  He can play there on occasion, but if Nash goes down you would not want barbosa playing there.

He would be a good signing for the Lakers but would not effect Blake.  You should pay more attention to the other teams in the NBA other than the Celtics  my friend.

    In response to TommyRules' comment:

    Barbosa: 21 mpg - 1.5apg
    Blake: 26 mpg - 2.3 apg

Not much of a difference there.

Barbosa is a combo guard that can score.
Blake can only score if he is left wide open and he is hot that day.

Blake's days might be numbered even though he has two years left on his contract.

They both blow, like all you Laker trolls.

Tommyfraud, Celtics fans don't care what the Lakers are up to. Neither team is likely to make the finals, there is no rivalry right now, there is no relevance.

I'm not upset at all about the Lakers signing some low rent has been like Barbosa, who can't play the point. Nor is any other real Celtic fan.

Steve Blake averaged 3.3 assists in 23 minutes a game last year, which is more than twice as many assists as Barbosa had in similar minutes.  What you posted above was Blake's playoff average.  Since the Lakers didn't play many games in the playoffs that number doesn't mean a while lot.

Like I said you really need to pay attention to other teams in the NBA other than the Celtics.

    Re: New backup point guard?

What does Barbosa have to do with the Celtics?  He is a 30 year old, 9 year vet, who has never played a full season, and who is still without a team.  Methinks if he was "just as good as Blake", he'd have a job by now.

We are actually looking into obtaining Ramon Sessions.  He would put my Lakers over the top.

    Re: New backup point guard?

It is what it is. Celtics got Darko and Clueless34 AKA Bandwagon34 was acting like if they got Dwight Howard. (best center in the league) Now he calls Dh12 all types of names because Danny couldn't make Clueless34's prediction to get DH12. But it wasn't Danny's fault it was Mr. Jim Buss following the foot steps of his dad hall of fame owner Dr. Jerry Buss, best owner in sports. Clueless34 AKA Banwagon34 is just butt hurt with DH12...
