The worst rebounding team in the NBA.
Do you mean to say NBA history?
They already are the worst in the NBA and have been for several years.
I was at the Denver game Tuesday and kept screaming "BOX OUT" at Bass and Wilcox... man they missed a bunch just by lack of fundamentals and hustle.

Who remains unsigned or is heading back from oversees that can fill a rebounding role? D League? Probably not. So where does Ainge get a phantom big? Or not.

I do not like AB at pg. ugh!!!!!!!!! This rotation locks us in to the 8th seed and bounced in the 1st round. Reminds me of the early 90s w/ Bird, McHale, and Parrish!!!! Flashback..........

The team didn't get worse, maybe slightly better, its just that we were hoping to blow it up and rebuild or get championship contender help... we didn't do what the team needed

What's there to comment on?
there is virtually no change and no improvement to the team.
Danny decided to keep an uncompetitive product on the floor this year. Hopefully he hits the jack pot on his grand plan next year, because today he folded.

What is your definition of 'uncompetitive' an above .500 team with a good shot at the 2nd rd?
8-3 in their last 11 and swapped out a guy with an ACL injury for somone 6-7 years younger who is equally or even better skilled...
Melo could easily give us what Collins was

This rotation basically just went 8-3 in its last 11 and are the 7 seed right now... they added Crawford for a guy out with an ACL injury and have to replace Collins 4-6 mins with Melo or more Wilcox

Yes, but as Tommy Heinsohn just said ... If you can't beat your opponent with size the 2nd best way is "speed & quickness."
It might work in a few games as they finish out the season!

Melo is only useful right now in a zone defensive scheme because he looks incapable of providing weakside help which is the pivotal role of the Celtics big in their normal rotational defense. He'll learn maybe, but I haven't seen him do that yet. Wilcox has also struggled with rotations this year. Then there is Brandon Bass. The defense could get ugly when KG is not out there.

Wilcox isn't too bad when healthy, I have him penciled in for 18 mins from here on out. In 20 mins for us over like 15-20 games before the heart issue last Jan/Feb he was giving 7 points, 6 rebs and 60% from the field. I'd be happy with 5-5-55 in 18.
Doc is always loyal to vets so I see him giving Wilcox 16-25 mins over giving Melo 8-12... but who knows, Melo has to improve A LOT and soon, but he is young enough to make a big jump in just a few weeks if given burn and a defined role.

My points in another thread as a Melo 'supporter' have been that Collins #'s this season were 10.3 mins, 1.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.2 blocks. If Melo were to be given 10 mins at C for the rest of the season, is it too hard to imagine him getting 5x the blocks Collins was (as in just ONE per) and the SAME points (literally a bucket every other game) and maybe 2-3 boards? That would be considered an UPGRADE, unless Collins stat-less post defense is really that much superior.
Doc was playing the vet over the raw raw rook and now Danny removed that option. With Collins and Darko it was easy to have Melo stay in the D-league, now he will be on the 12 man. Either play him 8-12 mins a night or play Wilcox 18-22, but those are Doc's options and I like them better than 10 mins of Collins.

We are very very deep and we have a lot of interchangeable parts. TWill and Crawford will get mins. Add a few bigs and we will be ok.
