Yeah, and the guy filling in for him at center scored 14 pts. and grabbed 7 rebounds - kinda puts Fab's games in perspective.

Bill, he's as ready as you are.

What you mean "will he ever be ready" - ? I know you're out of your element in a basketball forum but it takes 2-3 years in a D league for an unpolished big man to get his act together. It's a bit like the minor leagues, you know, how baseball players that are drafted don't come up for a few years.

Melo has a mild concussion, http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/celtics/post/_/id/4700720/fabwatch-concussion-sidelines-melo

here's a link to a post on Melo if you want a bit more background:

The dude has only been playing ball since he was 17. Some patience is in order, though that's asking too much of "blow the team up"/blockbuster trade" Bill. Bill don't worry Danny will make a trade. He's trying to get Cousins now but don't expect a major trade till Feb...

Right on! You have to be very careful with concussions..look at Scal.. they took the time and he is ok now!

My take is if they are even considering a Melo trade and as long as he is burning up the DL they won't bring him down as it might expose him and reduce his value. I like Melo and agree in light of his background he needs playing time, learning time and conditioning time to really make a difference here. Maybe later this year is a probable bet at best. He is a fast learner they say.

    Great New Year to all!
