We're only 13 points down but you can bet the Nets are figuring they got the edge in the ejections with Rondo being gone. They can come back with Blatche and Reggie Evans. Wallace was 2-10 from the field so I'd much rather see him still in the game.
Honestly, I don't like Rondo's ejection. Really, Humphries did not foul KG hard. Rondo simply overreacted. I agree with Donny Marshall - we didn't need that. I just hope it doesn't result in more games for Rondo. I cannot see why it would but you just don't know.
Somebody for the Celtics has to get hot. We're getting nothing from Pierce, Terry and Bass. One or two of them really need to get in gear.
This game is winnable.
No, Pete, Rondo did the right thing. It was a case of enough is enough.
Besides, Rondo took out 2 key players from the Nets that were hurting the Celts in this game.
Fierce, how did Rondo do the right thing? What do you mean when you said Rondo said "enough is enough"? Enough of WHAT is enough? We were playing as soft as ever - not getting to the foul line, turning over the ball, terrible rebounding. How could anyone on the Celtics have thought "enough is enough"?
We're getting buried on the court and you cannot tell me that Humphries' foul was hard on KG. Rondo did not take out 2 key players. Did you see our offense when they decided to press us without Rondo on the court. They lose a guy shooting 2-10 in Wallace and Humphries had 3 points and 4 rebounds. The Nets will take that exchange everyday and twice on Sunday.
