Every team usually has 3 PGs. Right now the Celts only have Rondo and Delonte as Bradley is not really a PG. The best available PG right now is Carlos Arroyo. -

I say Celtics need to go after Arroyo, Bradley is not cutting it with the ball in his hand and Rondo is going to need rest before the playoffs. -

Maybe Doc can suit up for 10 or 12 minutes a game. -

You keep the 15th spot open for D-League guys and if you find someone there that can help, regardless of position, you sign them before the regular season ends. No reason to rush a decision here ... see what you need at the end of the season and then decide from the guys you've looked at on 10-day contracts. -

If the Celtics don't end up using their 15th slot on anyone serious, I'd like to see them sign Antoine Walker to a 10-day contract in April. It would be a nice gesture and it would allow him to retire as a Boston Celtic. Let him get into one home game so that he can go out on top and let the fans cheer him one last time. -

no to antoine walker, please. no time for any sentimentality with the team approaching the playoffs. and, also no need to sign some developmental league guy either as any such guy should have already been signed or will be available during the summer.
johnson is currently serving as only a practice player as he is not going to play at any time in a meaningul game that is not already decided late in the game so he can easily be let go when his ten day contract expires.
the 15th roster spot needs to go either to a center or a point guard who can fill in if necessary during the playoffs (if not sooner). and, as doc said, whomever they get should be signed soon to facilitate the "fitting in" process. -

There is still one fan here that still sees Antoine Walker in Celtic Green. -

Giving Walker a chance is no brainer in my mind. He has everything to gain by giving it his all for us. If his skills haven't eroded too much, this would be a hungry player with a chance to turn his life around. We did it for West, why not give AW one more chance?? -

Keep Chris Johnson on the roster until JON is back. If CJ can eat and hit the weights this summer he could be a keeper next year. -

Posted by jhol2 Reasons:1. Walker is not in NBA shape2. The Celtics have a full rosterI would rather keep Chris Johnson than do something sentimental that might do more harm than good. The Celts are in a tight battle for home court advantage in the east. This is not the time to get cute. -

Theres a reason nobody has signed AW, he cant help anyone.
In fact, its unlikely whoever the Celts pick up for their 15th roster spot is gonna be any help. These last minute signings are for players that can fill in during blowouts to give the better players a rest.... to step in as backups for injuries..
Thats about it. Maybe one of them just happens to jell and plays over his head with the C's... maybe they get a shot in the playoffs.. But look at our playoff roster
Shaq, KG, PP, Ray & RR start
Kristic, Green, BBD, DW, Wafer, JON off the bench
Murhpy, Pav, AB, CJ rotting on the bench
Even in this scenario, 6 guys expecting time off the bench, thats an 11 man rotation and its doubtful we'll see that. So who else sits...maybe Wafer.. thats a 10 man rotation...
So all these signings late arent gonna do much for us when it counts unless....... -

I don't think JO will beat Murphy for a spot in the rotation. Murphy still has at least 4 weeks to get acclimated while JO is still recovering from surgery and there's only 6 weeks left in the regular season. -

Some of the positions each night will depend on matchup, injuries and foul trouble. All will probably get some action but it will be more limited in the playoffs. -

The way Murphy played the other he night looked like the one recovering from surgery or still needing one.

Leon Powe? When he was with the Celtics (before his injury) he was a terrific rebounder. Now, with Davis hurt, he might help. Or did he never really recover from his injury?I think that Bradley can play point for limited minutes. He is very, very fast. -

being fast is not enough ask cam newton. But the more stable mentally tough players the better, we need all the bodies we can get. -

Powe is with the Griz now. I still say sheed is coming.
Chris Johnson ought to be able to play some minutes tonight. He's quick enough and has the energy to run back on d, and nobody on the warriors' roster is strong enough or has the mindset to shove him under the basket. -
