    Our Defense

Well we showed again we can't keep people from scoring in the paint.  It was a flat out layup drill.  Maybe Doc is not the defensive coach we gave him credit for.  We better either start playing 2 big men at the same time or start running a zone.  I don't know how our defense could be much worse.  SA had a ton of offensive rebounds that turned into probably enough points that was the difference in the score.   Something needs to happen and I sure hope Doc figures it out.  Our best rebounder only got 20 minutes.  Not sure his defense is any worse than anyone else.  Wish he would give the rook about 35 minutes a game.

    It's not Doc's fault.

If you were watching Comcast with Mike, Tommy, and Scal, you would've heard them talk about how the new players are not where they're supposed to be. That's what happens when you lose 70% of your players from last season's team.

Lame-rame thinks the real NBA is just like NBA 2K13. In the real NBA, when you add a lot of new players, team chemistry and mastering the system takes time.

Think about it, last season the Celts were 2nd in the league only allowing opponents 89.3 ppg. This season the Celts defense is giving up 99.3 ppg in 12 games.

All that may be true,  but if we dont do something about the rebounding, and add someone big at the rim, the little guys can be where there suppose to be all the time and it won't matter.   My patience is wearing thin.

Looks like we over paid for Jeff Green. 9 Million bucks for 16 Mins. Green, when the coaches only play you 16 mins in the game, there's a reason for it "Son."

The problem is Ainge can't do anything until Dec. 15. That's the earliest Ainge can make a move. Lee becomes available on Dec. 15.

If Ainge wants a blockbuster deal then Jan. 15, 2013.

    K-Mart is not the solution.

kmart may not be the solution,  but he would definitely add toughness.  We get pushed all over the floor.  Except for Sully.  He fight back a little.

    Re: Our Defense

Doc Rivers ran off the only true center we had and we are playing with a bunch of power forwards, 2 of which are undersized. Rondo kills ball movement and goes to isolations which killl our chance to score consistantly.  I don't care if he has 40 assist we need more ball movement and more player movement. Period. THE SPURS EXPOSED OUR WEAKNESS, they did have an above average game, but Darks might have helped and a offensive coach and a defensived coach could prove to be very valuable.

Dec. 15 is only a few weeks away. Why settle for a temporary solution when the Celts can deal Lee, Melo, and maybe Collins, plus draft picks for Gortat.

i have heard december and january,  does anyone really know when it is?   Whats wrong with having Kmart, and Gortat?

    Re: Our Defense

No big, burly guys to snare rebounds. KG can't/won't, Pierce gets some, but he's too small, Bass has the build to look like he can rebound, but guess that's not his strongpoint. Sullinger fits the mold and does rebound, but how much can a rookie be expected to do?

Yes, the team, full of new guys, will take time to meld. But they need some board bangers, and this team, as constituted, can't get it done. Will take a couple years more of good draft picks at forward to get the team the rebounding it should have. Meanwhile, the Celts will hover at the .500 mark this season, missing the playoffs.

And Doc needs to quit worrying about the Lakers and concentrate on his own team's many problems.

Right now the Celts have KG, Bass, Sully, and Wilcox. If the Celts sign K-Mart, Doc will not play him. What's the use of signing a player that Doc will not use. Like the Troy Murphy signing.

doc may not even play Gortat,  who knows.

The concern I have is that Green and Lee have not helped their value and Gortat may have multiple suitors.
