I'd take the over on the Celtics.  My personal guess is 32 wins.

Under on Memphis.  I think that team has peaked as constituted and will suffer from improved division teams, especially NO and Houston.  Sanan won't be better but they still beat Memphis.

I think they are right on the mark with the Celtics 27-28.

Nets are about right. (we get the 24th pick)

Lakers should finish with more wins.

Also Warriors and Pacers should finish with more wins.

Definitely an over on the Lakers. They still have Kobe, Pau, Nash added some decent role players. Theyll be in the hunt for another 8th seed one and done.

I see no way the celts come that close to 500.  They are clearly a below average team this year.

I don't think they will come close to 500. when I said I take the over I meant 29 wins or so.

I don't think they will be horrible. Just bad.

    Re: Over/under

This over/under analysis is tough because DA could really hasten the rebuild if he trades Humphries, Rondo, Bass or Wallace.  They will be bad.  They are playing for the lottery.  If any team wants to make a run for the playoffs you've got to think that Ainge will look to add future assets via trade in return for a starting-calibre PG and decent role players.

I say under, only because I do not expect this team to reamain intact.

Actually I saw the 27-28 and thought that was the projected record.  I was going fast and seemingly couldn't take time to figure out that those two numbers don't equal 80 games.

So, this team will be bad in the sense that they lack allstar talent to win strings of games, but they won't be like the Suns (of last year) bad where they essentially had no drive or desire to win.

This team will be playing to win every single game

You can put all star talent together and still not win... a la, Lakers.

The reasons(S) the Cetlics will not be competitive even when trying to win are:

    1. We don't have a PG.  Even when/if Rondo returns, it will take him time to get into playing shape and integrate himself into the oncourt system and chemistry.

    2. We don't have a Center.  If you can't rebound, you're not gonna win many games.

    3. We don't have a capable starting SG.  Lots of bodies, all with flaws, but no legit starters.

    4. New coach and new system takes time to learn and execute.

    5. Too many inexperienced players.  Half this team (the rebuild foundation) need time to develop

    6. No respect from the Refs.  Expect Fav, Oly and Sully in particular to get called for everything

    7. Dependence on Green as the go-to guy. He hasn't proven that he can be the star and other teams will DT him becuase there really isn't an alternative.
