    Pass on the Mayo

    http://greenstreet.weei.com/sports/boston/basketball/celtics/2012/12/13/o-j-mayo-wouldve-been-an-honor-to-play-for-celtics/

Did'nt this guy diss the Celts when he nixed a deal for Ra last year ??

He is good, but I have to question if he would be good news in the locker room..

but we could sure use his scoring in the fourth quarter...maybe Danny can find us a similar player with less baggage..I keep sayin we need another scorer....

What do you mean pass on the Mayo? He passed on us. Not clear on the point of this post? Yeah he could help us in the fourth quarter, yeah he's a head case, yeah if he told his agent "yes" he'd be here. :)

We don't need another scorer nearly as bad as another intimidating big willing to do the dirty work and prevent KG from having to play 40 minutes  a game.

Terry and Lee can score, they have been slumping. Green can score if he is on his game. Scoring is ok. Defense is a serious problem. They can't take KG out of close games and that will not work for the long run.

Green lacks consistency. He was 5 for 16 against the Mavs. We're always kept guessing as to which version of Jeff Green will show up for each game.

    Re: Pass on the Mayo

It's worth noting, of course, that some of what plagues the Lakers is the loss of their stars and the abrupt change of philosophy after a full training camp under a very different scheme under a very different coach. But every team adapts to injuries. The Bulls haven't had Derrick Rose, but they are 12-9. The Timberwolves have played much of the season without Kevin Love and all of it without Ricky Rubio, but they are three games ahead of Los Angeles. The Lakers can't keep waiting for Nash to come back and save the day. Thirty-eight-year-old players who haven't averaged 32 minutes a game in two seasons have their limits, especially when some of the playmaking that D'Antoni craves has to involve someone other than Kobe, Howard and Gasol.
