Big Al is a better fit, then Gasol or Amare. He could start at center, and is a better rebounder. -

no way would they do that unless we add a draft pick or one of our young players. -

Utah are in the 7th place with only 1 and half game behind the third best team in the western conference. And do you think Utah would rather to break up the team? -

It's a realistic trade for both teams. Pierce is the only tradeable asset that could possibly get you what you need.
I'm just suggeting a trade that make sense for Boston. -

I would be very upset if Pierce was ever traded. I still want to see him retire with the Celtics. It would be similar to the Mavericks trading Dirk. It should never happen. -

Posted by notradeUtah cant afford to trade big men. They only have one center that can play center for that team!! Never mind they have three good power forwards, but they are not big enough to play center. Celtics have three power forwards on the roster, none of them can play center!!!!! -

Why do you guys bother with notrade's nonsense?notrade just does not want Paul Pierce to break Larry Bird's scoring record. Two years ago notrade already said trade Paul Pierce so that Pierce will not break Larry Bird's scoring record. Ugh!Here: -

Scoring more points doesn't make one better. That's like saying Pete Rose was a better hitter than Ty Cobb...or Barry Bonds was better than Willie Mays.
Heck, if you equate greatness with number of rings won (MajicMVP) that would make Robert Horry the greatest player in the last 25 years.
He can be mentioned in the same breath as LB, but we ALL know who the better player was - not even a question!! -

They actually have 4 power forwards in which one plays center(AJ). So why can't another play center? Obviously Milsap can't play center because he is a tweener that gets abused by Ht. and the clippers the other nite. Rondo would be the most viable choice(youth for youth). If Harris is so adequte , why is a former all star guard in his prime(age 28) only playing 25 min. a game (before his injury last nite? Pull the trigger -

If I'm the Celtics I do it, albeit with a heavy heart. Pierce is a very tradeable guy this season, especially if you get a worthwhile big and/or a 1st rounder. If you can get that for him you free up a ton of cap space with the big 3 then off the books and you have a stockpile of 1st rounders in a deep draft. While I hate it as a PP fan, the C's are set up very well for their rebuilding if they can make the tough business choices. Now this trade in particular is unlikely from Utah's standpoint, but a contender deep on bigs...who knows. -

It does make sense if your trading youth for age and its not like you're taking a chance w/ "potential". AJ is still young and putting up numbers that still has an upside (4 assists the other nite from the so called black hole). Yes, it is true that he is not currently as valuable as PP but he will remain valuable 5-7 yrs. after PP is a fading memory...If you think this current team realistically can compete for a championship than enjoy your daydream a little while longer... -

In the last two weeks PP has proven he not Rondo is the engine that makes the Celtics go. Fact. -

No trade will have to see Paul traded today to prevent the inevitable. Paul is leading this team not Rondo. PP will be very good for two more years. He has shown he was just not in shape. -

Saying that Al Jefferson's 18.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, and 1.6 bpg is not worth it is troll like. I mean who wouldn't want their starting Center to average 18.5 ppg and 9.0 rpg, right? -

Absolutely. Pierce is the heart of the team. Pierce for AJ makes us significantly worse - I doubt we'd even make the playoffs. -

Why so much hard on for AJ and the Jazz players? Especially in the last sentence, are you saying we will compete for the championship with AJ here and Pierce gone? If not, why the trade? Next 5-7 years from now will be about the next off season changes by Ainge not AJ. His type of players are not that hard to find so it should not be about youth vs age as long as we will have the cap room which we will. -
