I think DA just found a home for Jeff Green.

Think Larry would give us a 1st?

Yeah that was a horrific injury. I hope for a speedy recovery but man that leg completely buckled and snapped.

If it was a clean break he may not suffer any ill effects?

Yes, I believe that he should recover OK if it is just a bone break.  Bone breaks can be set, heal well and heal fast.  But the recovery process will be long to build back strength.

    tough injury to watch.

As for Green, could very well be targeted as a replacement.

Sorry for George, but if the gutless wonder Green goes as a result, maybe we can pay the mob to break some PG's leg and maybe they'll target RONDON'T AS WELL!!!

Ouch! 18 months for full recovery?  Looks like I spoke too soon.

Doubt it.  Doesn't make any sense.  The Pacers will become sellers and will dip into lottery.  Clear some salary, draft a good player and wait for Paul George to make a full recovery.  So they should be out of the playoff picture for the next two years.

Looks like Hibbert just became quite available.

Re: Paul George breaks his leg

They may get a disabled player exception.  Not sure if they will use it.  Replacing Stephenson with Stuckey and now this is bad news for the Pacers.  Don't forget, Green has an ETO for next year......so if they use the disabled player exception, if I'm correct, Green would only cost about 4-5 mill for them this year.

You hit the nail on the head. They are now tankers with getting rid of Hibbert at the top of their list. Was thinking this morning when I heard it what this C's team would do with Hibbert in the middle. Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sully, and Hibbert would be a formidable 5. Having Oly, Turner, Smart, Zeller, Young and the rest as a second unit would be interesting. Could be a 3/4 seed in the east....

You may be right.  They won't be very good next season without Paul George and may indeed try to trade Hibbert.   What a terrible injury to George.  He will probably be out for an entire season and maybe even longer.

Re: Paul George breaks his leg

Without George around Hibbert may actually play well, George god bless him is a total door knob, it's one thing to get a stripper pregnant but a whole other thing to screw your teammate's fiancé.  The guy is on his way to being the next Kobe Bryant, worst teammate of all time.

That being said the Pacers aren't going to blow it up, they're too good for that.  They may trade Hibbert but only when they realize he and George have irreconcilable differences.  Indiana has some good bigs behind Hibbert, but George May find himself in a Danny Granger position if they find a good back up small forward.  They've always been one good point guard away from being a well rounded team anyway.

BTW...there's no way LB is as stupid as DA and we are stuck with Mr. Green Jeans for the duration...when his contract runs it's course here, he'll not be resigned and will latch on to some loser of a team for the ripe sum of $5 mill/year...book it...he's another C's "star" nobody else in the NBA wants to touch with a ten foot pole.

Shawn Marion is an option i'm sure Bird is looking at right now.  I don't think tanking is what LB has in mind.
