Ridiculous! Wade or CP3 should be on that cover.

If you go look at the "evidence" that they used in that article. Two of those were CLEARLY not flops. Just because the refs call the foul without any real contact, doesnt mean you flopped. Morons.

We will see this next season when Paul is paying fine after fine after fine. Heck, everytime the Heat and Celtics play each other, Paul might as well get his checkbook ready, especially if he tries to guard LBJ. Just sayin'

That is not a flop, it's a player control foul!!  Textbook positioning  - contact initiated by the offensive player - defensive player stationary, with both feet out of the arc - smart play!!

DFurypuss, unable to prove PP is a flopper, then shows a picture of his injury FOUR years ago.  I don't get it, are you saying THAT was a flop, or are you just admitting you don't know anything?

Sports Illustrated has Paul "Floppy" Pierce #7 on the All Time Greatest Floppers List!

    Great Moments in NBA Flopping

They refer to this as step by step guide.  LMAO

Right.  So he drew a charge.  And what's your problem with defensive players drawing charges?

In this picture Pierce clearly isn't in position to take a charge.

Only the front of his left foot is touching the ground which most likely means he is still moving.

Disagree - it is perfect positioning.  James has already made contact.  He does NOT have to be a statue, he just has to be there first with both feet planted.

I'll bet this was a player control foul!!

Re: Paul Pierce on ESPN's NBA front page today

I watched many of the "flops" in that article.  Most were called correctly - the only exception I saw  was the player control foul Joey Crawford called on Deron Williams.  There was one "phantom" foul called on Harden as Wade (who else) drove by him.  No contact on that one.  The shooting foul on Gasol was not flop, he was fouled.  Also the one on Fisher coming off the screen was also called correctly.  Fisher "sold it", but he was, in fact, fouled.  This one on Pierce should have  been called a player control foul, regardless of the bias of the reporter.

Re: Paul Pierce on ESPN's NBA front page today

A player contol foul is ANY foul committed by a player while he is holding the ball:

    http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_meaning_of_player_control_foul_in_basketball

charging and Player Contol foul are the same thing.

And just for the record, James had NOT shot the ball yet.  Contact happened while the ball was still in his hands.  In the NBA, that would be a shooting foul, due to the stupid continuation rule, but in HS or College, that would just be a team foul, with the ball out of bounds, unless the opponent is in the penalty.

as usual you are not getting the point.  Making fun of players because they try to draw charges is ridiculous.

Pierce is one of the top floppers in the league and EVERYBODY knws it.
This new rule will definitely effect how many free throws Pierce shoots this season.

And yet a Heat player is mentioned more often than any other team by far.
