Perk can wipe away his tears...

The $3.2 mil per year, (the difference between Danny's offer of 4 yrs / $22 mil. and Thunder's 4 yrs. / $34.8 mi.), should be more than adequate for Perk to dry his tears after being traded away from his beloved teammates!!!!!

C'mon, the guy had one more shot at a big contract and he took it. It was the right decision. $12 million is still $12 million.
I am actually glad that OKC signed him and kept him away from the Knicks or Heat

OKCs best players are still on their rookie contracts otherwise they would not have been able to sign him.  There is not even a remote chance that either the Knicks nor the Heat would have been able to sign him given their salary cap situations especially with a new CBA and lockout looming.

Assuming no lock out, a lowered cap to $58million, and no player salary rollback to the new cap...the Knicks next year are at $45 million with Amar and Melo, counting 10 players. They also have a TEAM option for Chauncy at $14 million and Walker at $1million meaning that they both can also come off the books  leaving the Knicks at $30 million next year. I believe they prefered Marc Gasol over Perk anyways, but I saw Perk as a better fit than Gasol.
You are correct about Miami. They could not fit Perk without moving some spare parts

I commend him for making as much money as he can. Any one of us with half a brain would do the same.

Not that it matters but KD is not on his rookie contract next year. His salary next year is $13.6 million, the first year of his new contract.
