I got to admit, Perk played well tonight. Western teams better not underestimate what he brings to the table for the thunder.

Kristic been putting better than those numbers up in first halfs..

Both teams will prob be happy with the trade. Just lets not starting moaning over the loss of Perk when the boxscore says he had 11 rebs & 3 blocks. We got plenty in return for him, much more than OKC got imo

I guess I should also be worried about stats for James Posey, Nate Robinson, Eddie House. Leon Powe and Tony Allen. I actually could care less. He's gone....move on. We got the better of the deal.

you are not valuing the help defense afforded by Perk and both Shaq and Jermain that Kristic is not giving them. To me, his defense offsets his offense. Celts offense and defense was very good beofre the trade. After the trade, offense is still very good. Defense TBD once Shaq is back.
C's went to the finals last year and have the best conference record this year because of defense. While Kristic is learning the system, it also remains to be seen if he has the skills to execute the system once learned.

o'neals wil be worth the wait. this entire team would be able to contribute thanks to being tested in their absence! with perk, was funny and ironiic watching his very first official play was being called for moving pick! how many times did we endure that?

Three things that can be seen from space - the great wall of China, the grand canyon, the chasm between Perk's actual game and his perception of his game........ is it possible to have the two players in the league whose perspective of their game can vary from their actual game on the same team?

    Re: PERK's Debut

    Perk is all about Defense.

Krstic has a far superior offensive game, and he rebounds well, but he weighs less than KG.

We will not know until the finals whether the improved offense, can overcome the reduced defense that comes with the Krstic trade. So far, in most games, Krstic has been the focus of opposing team's offense.

While Shaq is big enough to prevent Bynum from moving to sweet spots, he is too slow to prevent lateral moves. This causes a high number of reach in fouls, and early foul trouble. Krstic can not guard Bynum, he is too light. Bynum will move him like a dance partner across the floor. Baby can guard Howard, but not Bynum, because Bynum can shoot from distance, and he can shoot over the top of Baby. These facts will continue to provide concern until we can see the end result.

As always, offense comes and goes, especially at crunch time. Defense can be brought every night especially in crunch time.

Let us hope that Danny made the right move.

the best part of perk's game was his defensive presence allowed serge ibaka to roam free for 8 blocks.

also I attribute some of durant's hot shooting that night to the good picks perk was setting

    Lets examine that.

Perks rep is that of a defensive player.. usually what they say about players with limited offensive capabilities.

Yet Perk only played 12 games for us this season.. Prior to his arrival, weren't we the top rated defensive team in the NBA? If not, darn close to it.

Tell me, how could that be without Perk?

Seems to me we're a great defensive team without Perk... so is it possible that Perks defensive value to our team may just be overvalued in the eyes of many?

If not, you need to explain how we were the highest rated team defensively in the NBA prior to Perks return

And they played a team tonight with 40 something wins.  You will see a much more pysical team in the Thunder now and it will be because of Perk.  Even his teammates have commented on it.  Its not all measured by stats.  sometimes dud you have to watch the games to actually sees what is happening.

The Celts also won with defense tonight. Only allowed the Pacers to score 80 points and the last 4 Pacer points was because of Avery Bradley's mistakes.
