You can't trade Rondo unless you get another young superstar. You don't trade your best young player, unless you get another good young player, when the other good players are about done.
You can't trade Garnett or Allen, because all you would get is bad contracts from other teams on average players. -

Posted by notradeThat's where you are wrong!Pierce has a contract that few teams would want.Ray has the most value because of his great shooting ability and cap friendly contract.Rondo is the best asset we have because he's young and his contract is appealing to most teams.Who said Rondo is a superstar? Lebron and Durant are superstars, not Rondo. -

Mark it down, notrade, Pierce is 60 points away from tying Larry Bird's scoring record. Next week, against the Bobcats or Lakers, your worst nightmare will come true. -

You're kidding right?
I mean, if the decision was made to trade any of the Big Three, you would prefer to let their contracts expire rather than get a draft pick or another player that could be used in the rotation or as trade bait?
If we trade with a team under the cap we don't have to worry about matching salaries ... you get as much as you can and you still have 70-90% of their cap space free ... Pierce is the only one that would have to be absorbed by a large market team that's a regular contender while Ray or KG can be picked up as rentals for a younger team looking for some experience and help short term. -

Is notrade the one who wanted CPP traded so that he couldn't break LB's scoring record... or am I confusing him with another poster?
