After Melo goes to LA when his contract is done...   :)

Agreed, if melo leaves this division is back to being pretty crummy, as I see the nets not having a great record after next year.

Agree.  A lot will depend on the draft picks they get in the next couple of years and what the other teams in the division look like.  It will take at least 3 to 5 years  to be in a position to win the division.

By the time we win again, it won't be ny or brooklyn we knock off.  I personally feel Washington has a great set of guards that will make them a good team over the next 5 to 7 years or more.  They just need someone to be successful down low and they'll be set.

The Nets will be big spenders as long as the Ruskie is running things.  When PP and KG are gone he'll just go get more stars to put along side Williams and Lopez.

He has no quams about paying the taxes.  80mil in just taxes this year!  His main goal is winning, winning, and winning.

They are the east coast version of the Lakers now.  Don't expect any lottery picks out of what we got from them.

This is the most accurate answer by far.

We tank, get Wiggins, people rejoice than he demands a trade to the Raptors ala Kobe, and he turns them into contenders.

There could be a 12 year old out there that will come into the league in 6 years, get drafted by the Knicks and be the next Lebron, stomping out our rebuild for another decade!

You never know!  We were soooooo lucky to have a good team for the last 6 years.  It could be 3, 5, 10, 20 years before we sniff that kind of success again.
