No use beating up old men in practice. Practice will not make them 5 years younger.

In Response to Re: Practice.........Practice : no one said it has to be an all out practice .......just run through some plays so that the youngens can't get down the system and hopefully Doc will play them........as it is now Doc says he can't play them because they don't know the system.........well how are they going to know the system if they don't practice,............the way we utilize young players it is no wonder that young players do not want to come to Boston..........they know they will just ride the pine......

Agree with you that this team definitely needs more practice and should take advantage of this long break to have practice and not take any days off.  I would imagine that they don't have another long stretch of days off like this during the regular season.

The four days of rest are more important than practice.  The brutal schedule ahead will take a heavy toll.

I too think rest is more important for the vets. The rooks will not be playing a lot this year anyway.

In Response to Re: Practice.........Practice : no but getting the young guns up to speed will reduce the minutes on the old legs......so you are wrong.........if you are not going to practice that correlates with the youngens not getting to know the rotations......net result you play the old legs more and then injuries or lethargic play and then when you put in the youngens they look like a termite mound under attack.......no one says you have practice hard......but definitely running through your sets and stopping when someone doesn't get it would help tremendously......

Doc's not going to play the rooks in the playoffs. So need for them to know the rotation. Ha Ha

Doc says there is a need for the second unit to find its identity........so take 2 days off..........hats off to Dooling for getting the second unit together to practice.......maybe Dooling should be the coach.....

2 days off is just like taking the weekend off. After this week the Celts won't have another week like this during the season. Rest is more important than 1 day of practice. The Celts just missed 1 day of practice, no big deal!
