Why do they need to get under the cap once FA signing season is over?

At that point they are better carrying as many trade assets as possible going into the trade deadline for potential deals.

Once the trade deadline is over then they can concentrate on cap space for the summer of 2015.

You sound like a teenager with no self control, wanting to get to the finish line before the whistle has even been blown.

    Read my post again.

I said the Celts will not be over the cap after the trade deadline.

Right now the Celts are still hoping to get Kevin Love.

That's why Ainge has not traded Rondo and the Celts are still over the cap.

Like I said, Thornton, Bass, and Anthony will total 19.3m in expiring contracts.

Celts are at 76m right now.

    Do the math.

"I said the Celts will not be over the cap after the trade deadline."

    Here's what you actually said:

If it's clear that the Celts are not going to get Kevin Love, Celts will be below the cap before the 2014-15 season ends.

That means Bass and maybe Jeff Green will be gone at the trade deadline.

Not quite the same thing. And Capt Obvious, we all expect them to be under the cap next summer,  but you've been crying wolf all over the board that we will be under the cap this season when there is no need. All you did was CYA by adding "before the season ends" like some disclaimer. I saw that but it's obvious that you tried to make it ambiguous on purpose. Who do you think you're fooling?

The mere fact that you're saying "Captain Obvious" means I'm right.

Besides, I'm just sharing my opinion.

You're the one trying to convince everyone from believing what I say.

I'm not claiming to be perfect.

But I was right about Ainge not letting AB go or the Celts would not win 30 games last season.

I also said Hayward, Parsons, and Monroe would not end up with the Celtics.

    So far I'm 2 out of 3.

When Monroe doesn't end up with the Celts, I'm going to be 3 out of 3.

Like I said, I'm not claiming to be perfect.

    We all know make mistakes.

The difference between you and I is when you end up being wrong, you never admit to being wrong.

Just like you said AB would be signed and traded this summer.

    Didn't happen.

So what you did was make stuff up, telling everybody about Stephenson sign and trade with AB.

One Celtic fan even told you that you were reaching because you're implying Ainge has some secret sign and trade plans.

That kind of BS is what makes you a not so reliable source.

You're the only one keeping score and you lie and cheat so who cares what you say?

You want to talk History ... read a book and come back here when you know something!

It's really funny that you say that.

I mean when I'm wrong, you're the first one to jump all over me and tell everybody that I'm wrong again.

Again it's not my fault that you end up wrong every time!

Why blame me for your own mistakes?

It was just yesterday that you projected Hump to be the starting Center of the Celts this coming season.

    Tonight Hump is a Wiz.

Like I said, I didn't force you to post about Hump becoming the starting Center of the Celts this coming season.

what a pathetic excuse for a Boston Celtics team ... the only hope is that some of the youngsters will provide some reason to tune in and watch occasionally ... Ainge has a ton of work to do

I know, the only thing worse would be being a Laker fan. At least the Celtics have options, the Lakers can't build a team around Kobe, and can't rebuild because he won't let them.

    Re: Projected celtics lineup

The problem is our second best player at the moment.  Our second or third best player should be Rondo, and he is currently our best player in my mind.  Green is second best at the moment, and plays a position that needs the best player to be playing.  Green is not going to get any better, he is what he is.  Green is only good enough to be our 4th best player.  Ideally this should be our team....

    Rondo

AB( This guys MIGHT be good enough if he offense continues to get better, and he stays at/near all NBA on            Defense)

New stud...think Lebron, melo, durant, etc.

Sully/KO (these guys MIGHT be good enough)

Zeller( a little too early to tell on this guy.  Given time to develop he COULD be good enough)

You add 2 years exp and a lebron type player at the 3 and we are have a perennial contender.  I know...I know...if a cow had balls she would be a bull.  My point is if all of our other assets were pooled correctly we MIGHT be able to draft/trade/sign the STUD.  We have strong potential all over the depth chart, but we are missing development time, and THE MAN.

I think Sully agrees with his part, at least he is trying to lose weight so, I think he thinks so too.
