He may have just lost his legs after having to check Kobe for seven games, but Allen was never able to get his Game Two magic back. He just missed shots—shots that he normally knocks down. Ironically, this became a problem for all the guys in green.

The problem with this thread for those who criticize Ray is that you're one sided.  Ray had bad games and good games.  So did Paul.  So did KG.  So has Rondo.   It you point out Ray's flaws, you have to be objective and balanced and point out the times when he saves our bacon and was the player playing well.   We criticized his often horrible D, but you have to give him credit when he played Great D on Kobe, as well.  So Kobe was just cold?   Well, you can say Ray was just cold then. Kobe and Ray had a true battle going.  When have you seen many people block Kobe's jumper twice that game like Ray did?   Give the man credit.

He's showing more of a complete game in Miami like he did in 2008, 2009, and 2010.  I think we forgot he can take a dribble off the screen and hit the jumper or go to the hole.  He's not what he was, but neither is Pierce or KG.  So, let's give Ray some credit, Fierce, to go with all that criticism.  Most players had bad games that game 7 so you can't say Ray didn't show up.  This guy plays hard and hurt and you have to give him credit for that.

Exactly, you got it right.  There is always a balance.   Just like when Pierce was struggle to score in some of the Cleveland series, Ray stepped up.    Or that time Ray had to scored 51pts to keep the team in the game because Pierce was struggling on offense.

Those that are objective can see this clearly.

Historically, Pierce always struggled against Artest.

Remember the 2004 playoffs when the Pacers swept the Celts?

Pierce only shot 34.2% from the field in that series.

So it's a given that Pierce will struggle against Artest.

Rondo's FTs? Since when did Rondo become a good FT shooter?

So expecting Rondo to become a good FT in that series is not being realistic.

Ray on the other hand had a small Derek Fisher guarding him most of the time. Fisher is only 6-1.

In Game 2, Ray made 8 3-pointers. Then he went 0-13 the next game and never made a single 3-pointer in the 3 games played in Boston.

Both Pierce and Rondo had double-doubles in Game 7 of the 2010 Finals. It was Ray who didn't show up.

Derek Fisher is only 6-1, Ray is 6-5. Come on!

Your wasting your time,  Pierce is usually the goat but rarely is he called the hero around here.  Artest hits some lucky shots and someone got punked.  Only in Boston.  It was a team effort that lost that game,  rebounding for one.

Lets also say the reason we one on 08 was PP -  how about that.
