Rivers to the Clippers for draft picks?

One NBA executive said the Celtics might ask the Clippers for two first-round draft picks over a three- or four-year period.

would love it. but would base any trade of doc to LA upon first completing a trade of KG there. trade KG 1st. buy PP out or trade him. then trade doc. but don't forget that we're not talking about high draft picks here. they will be late picks. so we gotta get value for KG 1st in the form of young players. then trade doc. love it. hope it happens.

Yep, this is the way to maximize the deal. Clippers management hasn't always been the brightest...time to hit em up.

No one can predict the future. They may not be late picks.

Two irrelevant late first round picks will do nothing to make you feel better about a lousy team.  This is not solution and it won't happen.  Blake Griffin and some picks along with KG and Pierce might work a lot better.

They may not be bad picks because Chris Paul may very well bolt this summer.

One bigger reason Doc might step down is for more family time - in Orlando, not LA. Pure foolish speculation from the Left Coast.

uh, if the clips add doc and KG, paul isn't going anywhere. in fact, their desire to keep paul is our leverage.

    3. Trade KG to LAC for Jordan & Bledsoe

    3. Let Doc go to the clippers this season for 2 future 1st round picks

    4. Paul signs with Clipper for 2 year deal (player option in 2nd year)

    5. Danny rebuilds Celtics

    6. In 3 years, Doc returns to Celtics

    7. Ainge gets Kevin Love

    8. Titles!

not sure about doc coming back or love, but i like the rest of the blueprint. you're forgetting the draft, where we could add schroeder at the point and potentially trade rondo at the deadline for something else we need to aid the rebuild.

Hell no, root for them to go 0-82.

Don't expect it to  happen, though. Coaches don't get traded. At least, I don't recall it ever happening in the NBA.
