    Wilcox got KILLED by Greg Monroe.  You must have only watched the offensive plays he had.  Otherwise, he was getting murdered.  Rebounds and points by the big men - we got killed underneath - Wilcox's territory!

    The Clippers are better then the Celtics!   Paul Pierce does suck,when going against a quality defender.  Artest, Deng and Prince all shut him down!

    It is time to reconsider that this team can't be competitive in the playoffs.  Ray looks really awful with even three days rest.  Pierce struggles when Rondo is the scorer and the rest of the teams looks mediocre.  This team is not going anywhere.

    This road trip will decide if DA is going to move anybody. After tonight he will have to wait or do nothing if we lose a bunch of games.  I see us as battling for a playoff spot. Three days rest and we get schooled by lousy tired team.

    Greg Monroe plays center for the Pistons and Ben Wallace is his back up. They had 20 rebounds. When Jon went out, Wilcox played center and JJJ went to PF, I believe. He played Maxiell and Prince.

    But his man, opposing centers had 20 rebounds and 22 points on 11 of 14 shooting. JON was in foul trouble and played only 20 minutes. The damage wasn't done while he was there.......so you get your story straight. Wilcox was our biggest man most of the time ( when teamed with JJ).

    I agree but he was out of the game so much that it didn't matter. The minutes when to Wilcox and while I loved his running, his defense and boxing out was terrible.

    Well 47 pts from Gordon and Stuckey was just as bad as the rebounding was.  Our guard defense was just as bad.  As good a game as Rondo had offensively I am not so sure that was good for the team..  Rondo dominating the ball pretty much took Pierce and Ray out of the game.  They have to have the ball some to be effective.  That is wierd since we seem to always want Rondo to shoot more.  He does and is effective and we lose to a bad team.  Wonder if the same thing would have with another shoot first point guard.  There seem to be lots of problems with this team. Don't know what is good for us and what is not. Rondo was flat dominating and we couldn't build a lead.  When Paul or Ray are dominating we usually seem to do well.  Do we want Rondo to go back to setting people up?

    The thing is that Ray only moves with out the ball and Paul sets up his own offense. When Rondo is on, no one is giving the ball to Ray, and Paul isn't getting his touches. When Rondo is dishing those two things happen. This team could use another swing who can run with Rondo or be content with Rondo getting ten points a game.

    There's nothing wrong with RR getting 10 points a game. I'd rather have that than RR getting 30 a game and the rest of the team stands around.

    Yes and no. Yes, Rondo is ultimately more effective when he is 15-10-10 or 11-15-10 or whatever, with more rebvounds and assists. 

    However: We need other teams to respect Rondo's own offense. If they lay off him defensively it hurts us in the end. But yeah, Rondo going off while Pierce and Ray sit around ain't gonna work

    We will know more tomorrow if RR posting up is just an experiment or Doc has added that to the Cs offense.

    Actually, the defensive scheme teams have used successfully on the Celts time and time again: is to let Rondo score and double Paul and Ray. 

    If you watch the game, they used Rondo's man most of the time to double Paul and Ray and force Rondo to score--then in the fourth quarter, they started laying back off Rondo--making him shoot--and teams also start running back on D sooner to stop his fastbreaks in the 4th.

    Rondo is a great player, but he is still too 1 dimension because of his poor shooting, which means if the ball is not in his hands...he is not good for much.
     
    Doc needs to have the courage to pull him out at the end of games and sub Moore in to spread the court-and let Pierce facilitate since there is noone else better to do it at the moment.  

    But as long as Rondo is in the game, Pierce can't do his ISO-trick because Rondo's man immediately runs over and doubles Pierce, or Ray.

    This has been going on since the Lakers vs. Celts in the 08 Finals.   And the Celts still have no answer for it because Rondo's shooting still has not improve much.  

    But back then, Doc had the courage to pull ROndo out at the end of games and put in HOuse.

    Now though, ROndo's head is to large to be taken out.

    If Pierce and Allen are going to stand around, they're not going to get the ball where they get off uncontested shots.  They need to move more, hustle more and use their basketball IQ.  Rondo would get them open looks if they did that but lately we've got old, old legs just refusing to keep moving (which often creates the right opportunities).

    Rondo attempted 27 shots last night and Ray just had 5 attempts. I think it's pretty obvious that Rondo was not in a passing mood last night.

    I believe we have had the conversation about game plans..... the other teams says let Rondo do whatever he wants and we will take Paul and Ray out of the game... they are not playing the Washington Generals, they are playing other NBA teams that have good young athletes and the Cs do not have the talent to cope with it.... so they lose against even bad teams when the diva point guard cannot accept being the 6th best point guard in the conference and not making the all-star team....

    Paul and Ray showed up, they happened to have been doubled teamed or guarded by younger more athletic players because the other team knows the point guard does not have to be guarded......   as was said over and over and over again during the game nobody is guarding Rondo... duh... why would you.....  water finds its own level and Rondo found his, when push came to shove he missed wide open uncontested jumpers and key free throws down the stretch and in the mean time the guys he was supposed to be guarding scored at will....

    Rondo is working on the 20 win per season game plans once the BIG 3 are gone....
