Could be far worse.
He could have a case of persistent plantar fasciitis to use as a handy excuse for poor play.

Rondo's showing that he's been a bit of a 'product of the system'. That's not to take away from his obvious talent, but before the All-Star break, he played with guys who knew where to go offensively and defensively. Now there are some new pieces, he's looked to pass the ball only to find nobody in the spot.
Obviously he will learn the tendencies of the new guys and they will learn the system but that takes time. Right now they're a work in progress...a painful process.
Whether or not they can do it before the close of the season is less on Rondo and Doc and more of Danny's responsibility. If this team does not win, he will have broken up a true title contender and for what?? If fans were given a choice of a future with Jeff Green or Title #18, we'd take the title everyday and twice on Sunday. -

Rondo is injured he is not playing defense well or running the court with abandon. The new guys make it harder but this speed demon has an injury that won't allow him to do what he was doing two months ago. Just watch him run. He pushes the ball upcourt but nothing like before. If it is his feet I think it may take a very long time. His ankle same thing.Watch his game and if it is not due to injury it is a great mystery. -

While that may be true, Title #18 would have been a great parting gift! And with an expiring CBA and an upcoming lockout...who cares about that.
Next time basketball is played KG may have retired and the window is closing! -

I love it when the national guys who are ill-prepared say things like - think Hubie Brown - "well Rondo not only is one of the best distributors we have in this league but when Pierce or Allen or Garnett are having an off night Rondo will also shoot a very high percentage, he is one of only 6 guards shooting above 50%".....
This just in... Doc told Rondo to be more aggressive getting to the rim and start taking more of the uncontested gifts and low and behold Rondo is not shooting 50% anymore. Hey Hubie, Rondo is the worst shooting point guard in the league.... do your homework. -

yeah. well, i can't buy into that. how come EVERYONE can manage to find krstic for all these easy looks on the inside????!!! the reality of this situation is that this is a much better offensive team with krstic starting at the 5.
perk could not catch the ball or finish in traffic or shoot free throws or set picks w/o at least 1-3 offensive fouls a game. krstic is doing all of that stuff seamlessly AND can shoot outside as the late trailer up the floor!!!
this offense is easier than ever to run with all that additional talent.
the problem is the pout on the face and the anger/sadness/garbage in the mind with rondo and nothing else. H E A D C A S E is the phenomena playing out before everyone's eyes.
will danny or doc say anything? will they park him for a rest until he comes back with better attitude? i don't think they can park him until delonte gets back. and assuming delonte gets back, and rondo is still functioning horribly, we'll see who has the nuts on this team, management/coaching or snotty nosed player. -
