Remember, Rose still has 3 years and 60.27m remaining on his contract.

    That's 20m per year.

A very big risk because of how Rose plays basketball.

He's too reckless when he drives to the basket.

The chances of getting hurt playing that style of basketball is too high.

true. but da could asks for multiple unprotected 1st rd picks in return.

But the Bulls will not be a lottery team with Rondo, Noah, Gibson, Bass, and Butler.

So we're going to end up getting picks in the 20s or late teens.

risky? of course... but dont forget that we also expect brooklyn will have a great run at the start of the season.

Brooklyn is different because out of the 5 All-Stars they have, 3 are old, very old.

The Bulls will not suck with Thibs coaching Rondo, Noah, Gibson, Bass, and Butler.

    [/QUOTE]

yes, but you should also consider that there's no go to guy on that lign up.

Just look at the Bulls right now.

They have no go to guy and no Derrick Rose but they're still in the playoffs.

because ec teams this season are too weak and most of them are bound for lottery. some ec teams will have a better record next season.

Worst case scenario is Bulls will be fighting for the 8th or 7th seed with Rondo.

    It's not worth the risk.

60.27m for the next 3 years is just too big of a risk for a player who keeps getting injured because of the way he plays.

    "i get your point."

Bravo for posting an interesting thread and then rethinking, that impresses me when someone is open to discussion like that.

I love your idea of getting rid of Wallace but the problem is to get rid of him we are going to have to choke down something just as foul in return.

Speaking of injury prone, how is ABs ankle from when he had soreness again the other night?  Is he going to miss any games? Is that the reason Johnson was resigned?
