you clearly have already made up your mind about rondo, and watch the game with an eye for finding his faults. focus like that on any player, and its eady to pick apart their game. fortunately, rondo's numbers over the last several years paint a different, more objective  picture, i.e. one that portrays an extraordinarily valuable player.

Not anymore! He is only interested in Rondo.

We need to trade Rondo while we can still get some great players in return!

    [/QUOTE]

yeah, not happening. Not this year not next year. Sorry. You'll just have to get used to him.

My guess is that another GM would be very hesitant to give up a great player or even a good player in return for Rondo.

    That ship has sailed.

    Draft pics maybe.

Maybe. The only difference is I don't ruminate, obsess and persevarate about Rondo.

You must talk about the guy in your sleep.

I could care less if Rondo goes as long as a good return comes back.

The odd thing is I could say that about every guy on the team except for Pierce.

You just hate the guy.  In a very creepy way.

Touche, my friend. Many posters here take themselves too seriously(not particularly you, snake oil) and the game itself. Yes, it's entertainment and a business, but first and foremost its a game. It may even be a rigged one @ that. There is no nobel prize in basketball, my friends. Opinions are like a-holes; even w/ a colostomy you have one. It may be closed off but then so are some mindsets. That's my 2 cents worth, minus inflation. Go C's!

You say obssessed, I say consistent...   as passionate some are advocating Rondos brilliance, others may feel compelled to provide a differing opinon for balance

I actually grow tired of pointing out the stuff that bugs me about Rondo.. but then I read a post or thread gushing all over him and well... I sometimes need to let it out ... I gotta get a few words in for posterity

I believe that Rondo is a great fit for the current Celtics team.  I am not opposed to trading Rondo for a big man that the Celtics really need, but the Celtics don't have a backup point guard and we would really need someone else that we could rely upon at this position.
