I can't wait to read the backtracking when the inevitable occurs. Especially the ones that compulsively state how little they really care about him several hundred times. That morsal may be served cold but will warm many a heart

powerful stuff, tomobo, but try not to misspell your punchlines. the urban dictionary tells us that a morsal is a pretty girl who is indecisive and who has a lot of doubts in herself.

In this instance, morsal is highly appropriate considering the cup sniffing procliviltiesof your herd.

    Proclivities.  Morsel.

    You can do better.

Ride, Captain, ride upon your mystery ship...

Here's a thought. What if Ainge only made Rondo captain to increase his trade value?

A ploy by Danny? I would not put it past him and that makes sense to increse his trade value. Maybe he will trade Rondo and bring back the real Captain back next year. Have the Celts ever had more than one Team Captain in a season?

It doesn't mean anything now. The Celtics will wait until next year to see how Rondo's knee is, assuming he is back to the player he was, the Celtics will keep him and see how a fully healthy Rondo runs with Wiggins, Parker or whoever we draft. Then try to sign him at the end of his contract.

If the Celtics, end up not feeling good about the draft , or if Rondo isn't able to regain full health, or if the Celtics feel the young talent will take longer to develop, or that contention is going to take longer than they thought, they will trade him, probally at next year's trade deadline.

Nothing will happen this year though NOTHING, except a vocal minority will contine screaming "TRADE HIM!"" every other thread.

Can you really blame Rondo for wanting out...

    - He's young with a whole career ahead of him so why stay on a team that's going nowhere for some years to come.

    - He's talented and would get big $$$$.

    - The current Celtics team does not include any of Rondo's old pals.

Good for him... Business is business - go for it Rondo!

Gasol's out with a groin injury.  Now's the time to ship him to the Lakers for their 2014 first round pick.
