We aren't talking about player history here, we are talking about current market value. By that logic Chauncey Billups should be worth more then Steph Curry.
The current market value for Cousins is likely double Rondo's right now due to age, position, status among that position, injury history, stats, marketability, and contract situation.
Not to mention the fact that he would be a MUCH better fit for this team going forward, is easier to build around, would dominate in the east, and is still getting better.
It's not even close. The evidence points so strongly towards Cousins that suggesting otherwise shows an obviously bias affinity towards a certain player even in detriment to the welfare of the future of the Celtics as a team.
