    Samuel Dalembert

    http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

While Ilyasova is starting to find himself, veteran center Samuel Dalembert is questioning the way he is being used. Dalembert, who is 31 years old and an expiring contract, hasn’t been seeing the kind of minutes he hoped for. He too has been moved from the starting lineup to the second unit. He’s playing just 16 minutes a night and providing six points, four rebounds and nearly two blocks during that time, but it’s not what he expected. “It is not working,” Dalembert said. “It’s not quite, I thought my role would have been a little bit more. But, like I said it’s coaching and everybody is doing their best.HoopsWorld

    Lee and Collins for Dalembert?

Instead of Doron Lamb backing up Monta, Lee will be an upgrade over Lamb.

Didn't we try to get Dalambert this off-season?

He might be okay, but would they take Lee?  That's an awful lot of money for a backup guard,

How did we go from Gortat to Dalembert?  Gortat would be a lot better.

Not so sure about that... Dalembert is a much better shot blocker and defender

Yeah, from what i have seen of him, he's not bad...a very doable deal..

He will get his minutes in Boston..Like I said, we don't need that over priced, over hyped,

Center that can't defend or shoot ft's..and that will cost us our future.

There is a reason why he has been on 4  teams in 2 years. His first 5-6 years I was a fan but since then any time you hear about him he is complaing about either PT or his role. That's a red flag to me.

    You have a point.

But if it would only cost the Celts Lee, then it's worth the risk.

Dalembert also has na expiring contract, by the way.

Lee is better than Doron Lamb.

In addition, the Buck's may need a replacement for Jenning's:

The Milwaukee Bucks and point guard Brandon Jennings are not expected to agree to a contract extension before Wednesday night's deadline, as Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Without a deal in place, the 23-year-old is set to become a restricted free agent next summer.

Its not that we went from one to the other.  Just because we want someone doesn't mean thats who we are going to get.  It takes two to tango. We have to keep our options open and yes I would do Lee and Collins for Dalembert.  I have seen him have some real good games.  Of course they probably all come against us. We have two guys that play center. One is limited minutes and the other only gets 13-18 minutes.   We have to get another big man and Collins aint it.

dalembert got out of favor in philly seemingly due to offensive game stagnation.  his points production plummeted for a couple years but he remained a solid defender and decent shot blcoker / rebounder.  if we could get him for that deal it would be a huge gain.

i can't see MIL taking on courtney lee the way he is playing though- not $5M basketball- and four more years of it.

The Bucks' payroll next season is only 46.27m. 5m per year is not that a big of a deal. It would be like getting Lee for the MLE.

    Bass and Barbosa?

I think the numbers work for a trade.

Bass has almost as much money due a Lee however, so that could be a problem.

I'd rather keep Lee over Barbosa myself, even though we're all down on the guy so far.

    C- Dalembert, Collins, Melo

    PF- Granett, Sullinger, ???

    SF- Pierce, Green, Joseph

Might be a better mix up front

The problem with a Barbosa trade is the Celts won't get much in return because Barbosa's salary is only the vet's minimum.

Bass for Dalembert won't work because the Bucks already have Ilyasova, Henson, Gooden, and Mbah a Moute.

But Monta Ellis' backup is Doron Lamb, a rookie. Definitely Lee is an upgrade over Lamb.
